A Piece of Peace sounds interesting! It sounds like a moat and beam story!!! I love the PG-13 rating!
Okay, explain this title- Rye & the Rump! It stirs the imagination a bit!!!

To the publishing world, people...calm down. And also new to this book-blogging experience, as well. I'm very excited to have discovered this new universe, and anxious to share my newly self-published autobiography, The Gifted Ones, with everyone!
Let me start out by saying this is my story...which began early in my youth...that I have kept locked up in my own private memories for 30+ years...until now. I'm excited/overwhelmed/ecstatic and scared to death, all at the same time! But mostly relieved to be 'set free', as this was also a healing process for me that was long overdue.
I'm mainly trying to get my book out for all eyes to see, of course, and hopefully to spark some interest. But not all of it is profit driven, as this is not my main source of income (thankfully!) but more so for the message I want to convey. It might be a subject sensitive to some readers, but the message is universal, and a must for society if we ever hope to live in harmony.
Please check out my site, and let me know what you think! I'm also looking for reviewers to get the word out, so if interested, by all means, give me a shout!
Thx bunches!
Lisa

I'm so glad you found me....and I found you.
Like you, memoirs are my thing too...why read fiction when fact is always stranger?? lol...
Too cool...I'll be awaiting your 'review'!
Have an awesome day!
Permalink Reply by shelly blomker on May 2, 2011 at 2:13pm I don't know if this works or not. But, I've been writing a vampire novel for awhile now. Love lost, love found, evil vampire trying to control the world of vampires and change the rules. Takes newly turned mate of main charater hostage and tries to kill main charater because he wants her for himself.
What you think about the plot. Has it been written about before? Probably. But, I still think its good. Almost done with it too. Now would be a time to see about it getting edited then cross my fingers and see it in book form.

Permalink Reply by LISA VAUGHN on May 2, 2011 at 3:33pm I have BARELY started a book, but haven't had a lot of extra time to work on it yet.
It is based on my High School years- I had a boyfriend for a year who battled with Drug Addiction. It eventually took his life. I am hoping to document our courtship, love, laughter and struggle as he battled and ultimately lost.

Permalink Reply by LISA VAUGHN on May 3, 2011 at 9:52am Amen sister! With my memoir (The Gifted Ones) it was more of a 'healing' process than anything else. Sure it was exciting to be 'writing a book' and all, but the meat and potatoes of it was that it just needed to come out of me so I could 'forgive and move on'....coincidentially after my mother's death. Thirty+ years is too long to hold a grudge!
So yes, take your time, purge your soul and you WILL be set free...and hopefully send out a message that will help others either avoid or move on from the same circumstances!
Best of luck to you!!!! Be sure to post when you are done!
Lisa
This book has been in my heart for 13 years... When it finally comes out I want it to be perfect- so I will CERTAINLY finish it someday, but I will probably start and restart a lot!
As for publishers- whether or not it is successful, published, or well loved by millions doesn't really matter to me :) (weird I know) I just feel blocked from writing anything else until its out.
