Author Barry Knister has re-released an updated eBook version of his much-loved second novel Just Bill, an insider look at a dog, his world, and the life-altering dedication the dog-human relationship inspires.
Would you ever give up your dog? Just Bill raises that question in an emotionally charged story of three outsiders. Bill lives at the Donegal Country Club. He’s a gentle giant of a dog, but maybe Bill’s just too big. Another oddity is ex-model Glenda. Even after her husband dies, other club wives still think she’s a gold digger. As for ten-year-old Ruby, her father remarried and has a new baby. Afraid of losing his love, Ruby tells a lie that forces her grandfather to give up Bill.
In the end, the dog’s journey leads to healing—for Ruby, Glenda, and Bill’s master.
Readers are given insight into the canine world in a way no author has attempted before; it’s a must-read for dog lovers and fans of creative narrative alike.
