'I have never read a book that took me through so many emotions' Book Review - Fractured Not Broken by Kelly Craig Schaefer with Michelle Weidenbenner plus $25 Amazon GC / Paypal Giveaway

Guest Book Review by Jacqueline Albrecht
"What an amazing story!! I have never read a book that took me through so many emotions. The book was really well written from start to finish, and had me wanting to keep going back to read a little bit more.

Kelly is truly an unsung hero, and her family are amazing. When the accident first happened, it made me both upset and angry. Upset at the fact that both Kelly and Jason's lives were going to change so dramatically, and angry that this was caused by some silly man that didn't give a second thought to driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol, even though he was told not to.

As I read further into the story, I found I could only admire Kelly's determination and courage at the way she handled the change to her whole life, and also the sheer determination of her family to help her achieve everything she wants.

I am so pleased that both Kelly and Jason had such amazing family and friends around them to help them cope with the changes to their bodies, and I hope they both go on to achieve everything they want.

The highlight of the story for me was Kelly achieving her goal to become a teacher and how the children welcomed her with open arms and showed her so much love, and also her wedding.

I hope that Kelly goes on to write a follow on book so that we can find out if she eventually got the children from the Congo and also how both her and Jason's recovery is.

Everyone who complains about minor ailments and everyday problems should read Kelly's book because it really makes you sit up and think how lucky we are and what we can achieve if we put our minds to it."

'John W. Mefford | Author is known for his fast paced, dangerous thrillers, the Booker series will not disappoint. An emotional rollercoaster with heart pounding suspense and a warm feeling of friendship and family' reviews Laura's Interests on Booker: No Más .......

OK, I know less Spanish than Booker which made it just as challenging to understand the situations he finds himself in during this present dangerous assignment. That added to the elements of suspense and danger.

Adrenaline filled! (Spanish comments are translated for both Booker and the reader.)

While this book works well as a stand alone, I recommend reading the entire series. In this novel Booker is in search of a former lover, who happens to be a psychopathic killer. He met her in book one at the destruction of her wedding with her wealthy fiance hanging off the side of a famous church tower.
(Doesn't that pique your interest?

What or who Booker finds this time will surprise you.

John W Medford is known for his fast paced, dangerous thrillers.
The Booker series will not disappoint. It is not my usual genre but I am hooked, devouring his novels like chocolate.

In earlier books we see not only Booker's professional prowess but also his personal, human side with his friends and his tender love for his six year old daughter. Being out of the U.S. that is not possible, yet Mefford manages to round out his character again. I love the street smart, manipulative, older than his years Bolt. I am not sure who does the better job of protecting the other this time.

I am not blind to the book's faults. Esteban's heroic actions at the end were weak and somewhat disappointing. Where did he come from?
Did El Jefe play a larger role in his kidnapping?
The action scene was amazing but the details left me with questions.

Parts of the dialogue I enjoyed were the references to well known tv shows and movies:

"I was half expecting to see a 1969 orange Dodge Charger fishtail into the alley..."

"I hate snakes..."

"...if all of this wasn't the greatest ruse since The Sting..."

Medford has a wonderful way with descriptive dialogue.
Former cop Valdez makes a wise connection:
In the future, if you're around I will always need my sidearm.

Booker watching Sean check his cell phone early in their acquaintance:
Got somewhere to be? A camel to hunt down, a country to save?

"Dissolving the chip on my shoulder had helped me open my eyes and my heart."

Do not hesitate to take on this series. You will be glad you do.
It is an emotional rollercoaster with heart pounding suspense and a warm feeling of friendship and family.

'Amazing, Hot, Sexy & Sensual' Cali Book Reviews NEW #Romance Seaside Nights by Melissa Foster.......

"First things first, It’s a Melissa Foster book! Do you THINK it’s going to be bad? I didn’t think so! Amazing, Hot, Sexy, Sensual. Can all men talk to women like Sawyer does? Holy hell! And his name just screams sexy! I think I fell in love with Sawyer right off the bat. And Sky. I just love her too! She’s very artsy. She owns a tattoo shop, which I think would be amazing!

Sawyer is super sensitive, I gathered. He’s super romantic (swoon!) and the way he talks to Sky, Oh my!

It was so easy to get drawn into this book, definitely NOT unlike the rest of Melissa’s books! She’s such an amazing author, and I have been wanting to read Sky’s story for a long time. One thing I felt about this book is that we learned a lot more about Sawyer than we did about Sky, but that’s fine!

Read this! You will not be disappointed!"

It's National Lighthouse Day. Happy day!
"The presence of the enigmatic lighthouse of the title recurs throughout the novel like another character. It even stays in the plot when Curl leaves America and re-locates to York, in England. The descriptions of the scenes in York and surrounding area are fascinating. I don't know if the author has visited the place or based his writing on research; either way he's successfully encapsulated the spirit of the place." Cathy
