"Refreshing mystery! This novel was more about the "accused murder", his past, his life and his future, than it was about solving the mystery of "who done it". I would especially recommend it to readers who don't think they like "murder mysteries" because the plot doesn't follow a typical mystery template!"

Our Beck Valley Books Review - The Point by G. Nykanen Author

"A very hard hitting dark story with explicit descriptions of a sexual nature as well as the dark side of a person's mind. The story revolves around Dane Buchman and his desires to take what he wants using any means possible, his actions impact not just on the people he hurts but the town he lives in as well.

The results of Dane's actions lead to a very good insight to how victims minds are affected by tragedy. The author portrays a story of innocence against evil and how difficult it is to get to the truth and prove it when it is one persons word against another.

I found this book to be a very gritty and enthralling read. I think the author was very brave in their writing and should be applauded for following their instinct to give the reader a real insight in how sociopaths think and react, this adds flavour and content to a good read. Due to the use of the explicit descriptions, which are essential to the story, it will not be to every readers liking.

On the other side of the tale is Dane's victim and the author again illustrates how with a lot of love and caring people around you and with their patience you can pull through life's trials and tribulations and live a normal life.

The Point is a dark thriller which will take you on a journey which will open your mind and want the bad guy to be caught and put your arms around his victim and protect her."

I Create Purty Thangs can’t wait for the next book in the Paradise Series byDeborah Brown - Paradise Series.

‘In Deception in Paradise, Madison is enjoying her new-found life in the house she inherited from her aunt. When her ex-husband Jax moves in without warning, claiming he has possible interest in the house, she knows that something is fishy. Before she knows it, Jax is accused of murder, and it seems that she is the only one interested in proving his innocence.

I think I would enjoy being friends with Madison. I just don’t get why she would be so accommodating to Jax, and especially Robert and Apple. Those two would be gone immediately. I’m a softie too, but that was overboard.

This second book veered away from Madison and Zack’s relationship a good bit, unlike the first one. I was expecting it to be pretty hot and heavy. But I did like that she and Fab were tight.

Overall, I really enjoyed the story. I hope it will address what Tucker wants from Aunt Elizabeth’s house. I have a feeling there is something there to be found.’

Our Beck Valley Books Review - The Girl in White Pajamas by CHRIS BIRDY"A murder mystery with excellent twists and turns"

"The characters and situations along with the relationships are very descriptive and superbly explained.

The novel is a little bit difficult to follow at first and the way the author manipulates the reader to keep going and persist by creating a little bit of mystique turns the novel into a great read.

The story brings our hero in contact with his past lover when he has to investigate his brothers murder this also bring him into contact with his family and a brilliant ride of emotion and feelings that you can relate to in your life.

The excellent emotive writing of the novelist is first rate. The brilliant building up of the detective and meeting his young daughter for the first time and the way that the relationship develops will bring tears to your eyes.

The read is fast paced and a real page turner with excellent situations and predicaments which add excitement to the story.

The main point that I enjoyed about this novel was the intensity and the really descriptive style of writing. The excellent humanisation of all the characters helped make the plot come to life.

If you like a good solid murder mystery with an excellent plot and characters then this is a book for you and I hope any other novels by this author are just as good or even better."
