Mia had trouble concentrating on her work the following day. Her conversation with her brother kept playing through her head like a scratched record, his words
looping repeatedly in her mind. She did not want to believe a word of it, but at the same time she kept thinking of the two men she saw in his office the previous
day, and his reaction when she asked him about them. She felt torn in two by the whole situation, so she decided she would keep her eyes open, but she would not
actively go searching for evidence. If anything happens to prove her brother’s accusations, only then will she start sleuthing around.
