The Children of The Dragon series is epic science fiction, myth and history, romance, tragedy and triumph; linked together by the common theme of the vampire as hero. Each novel stands alone and covers a specific period of time, featuring characters from the first book, Destiny's Forge. More information on Antellus.

'The final book in this series... The Turquoise Tower by Author Travis Simmons draws me into his fantasy laden world' reviews A Gluten Free Mom.

This is the final book in this series, and Simmons does a great job of wrapping it up. All along I’ve NEEDED to know what happened to Amber…Now I do. I won’t spoil it for you, but it was a game changer! If you’ve been reading along with me, tell me your thoughts on Amber…If you haven’t been, what are you waiting for?

Simmons, as usual, does a fantastic job of drawing me into his fantasy laden world. I feel as though I am connected to Joya, Jovian, and Angelica. Their story, although not technically possible in real life has elements that I can connect with on an emotional level. I feel their needs and desires, and they are matched by needs and desires in my own life. The need to see the journey through to its end, the need to keep a hold of family no matter what. The themes are central to everyday life even when the setting is a different as could be.

Sci-Fi Fantasy Available For Review

Bob the Bubble Gum Spider
By Gary E. Marche
Publisher: BookBaby
Published: March 2014
ISBN: 978-1483522098
Genre: Fantasy, Science Fiction

Bob the Bubble Gum Spider is a spellbinding account of a physically challenged hatch-ling orb weaver named Bob and an evil organization of black widow spiders called the Immaculate Order of the Web that requires him killed . . . but the black widows are after a lot more than just Bob.

The IOW seeks to subjugate the world and the hairy two-legs are very much in their way . . . and the black widows of the IOW are not tolerant of that which is in their way:

"Nedra was always of the mind that she could handle things herself and had come up with a few solutions of her own.  For one, she was fondly considering eating some of the no-account, malingering pledging priests, starting with Osiris.  That would surely provide the rest with the proper incentive to be more productive.  Of course, she had another solution that was even simpler and required no action on her part:  She dearly wished the forest would catch fire and burn."

Bob and his associates try to defend themselves, but can they save the hairy two-legs?

Our Beck Valley Books Review for Revised Orders by Irene Helenowski - Book 2 of Order of the Dimensions

"The power struggle continues as Anton Zelov continues to crave revenge, power and world domination. Behind it all is the most powerful black box to be invented, called the multiverser, which when used can be used to travel into other dimensions of life, where you life and everything about it is completely different and is lived by your 'alter'. Only now the scientists have invented ways to change co-ordinates and more worryingly without the user knowing in certain circumstances.

Jane, who loves her sweetheart Randy is also the love of infactuated Anton's life. As she celebrates her latest achievements she is encouraged by her colleague to take a short trip in the multiverser but little did she know that Anton would hijack it and take her to another dimension where she is no longer married to Ritchie with two lovely children. She is now Anton's nanny with no knowledge of her previous life.

When Randy realises, the cat and mouse chase begins, in and out of numerous dimensions, different lives and scenarios. Will Randy and the Federation finally be able to stop the viciously clever and sneaky Anton and rescue Jane?

Yet again the author has baffled me with how she puts this all together and manages to keep on top of it to keep the story interesting and alive. I did have to flick back a few times to keep up myself but that's the beauty of being involved in the chase. I found myself looking forward to every moment available to read more and the short chapters didn't help when trying to put the book down.

I would definitely recommend reading the first book, Order of the Dimensions, first as it's a great introduction to the fantastic characters in the wonderful storyline."
