Reality check for aspiring authors

Hi:

 

On my humor blog (http://lostinthehive.blogspot.com), I share an article I've written about the realities of being a first-time author with a smaller indie press. When I learned an editor had fallen in love with my writing, I of course believed I was going to wake up as the next David Sedaris.

 

The reality was a touch humbling.

 

The story is called, "So You Want to Be an Author...REALLY?" In addition to the blog post, I provide a link to a PDF.
