First the bitch fest: I'm so tired of joining groups and then it becomes authors posting and leaving, with no interaction whatsoever.

So here is the solution:

1. I would like to have a group of authors (romantic/erotic/paranormal) who are willing to work on our stories and even help proof read each other's work. A fresh set of eyes is always a good thing.

To keep our work secure, I think we should connect via email unless someone knows a secure site where we can post to each other and no one else can see.

2. Cross Promotion:

A. We should select certain days of the month where we cross promote each other's work- make a post on FB or tweet about an author/book/promo etc., write a blog or whatever else you can come up with to promote an author.

As you respond to me, your name will go on the list and you will be next in line to be promoted.

B. Offer a free sample chapter or short story to another author. As you know, distributors will pay only the author that submits the work. It would be a huge hassle for an author to then turn around and pay other authors (SS # needed to report to the IRS, you have to figure out a way to make payment etc.) Those kinds of problems can be avoided if we offer a sample free. I already offer sample chapters free. May as well add it to another book and hopefully gain an audience.

Remember, it takes HARD WORK to promote yourself and we need to make the investment in time to promote ourselves. Posting and running doesn't really work, especially when you are posting to other authors and not readers. We need to focus on promoting to our readers.

Any takers?

**THE BIGGEST GIVEAWAY YET!** Here it is! It's no secret that authors need reviews (as well as likes). I have a goal of obtaining 200 reviews in 2 weeks in preparation for my pitch to a few big wig publishers! YIKES! I believe that we can do it! If you help me reach my goal, I'll give away a KINDLE from Best buy! If we fall short of 200, I'll still giveaway a $50.00 giftcard (to your choice Best buy or Amazon) The winner can also elect to get the gift card instead of the KINDLE (in case you already have one).

Drawing will be on Feb. 1st (I will quit sending out PDF's on the 17th but you can still "pay to play" by buying the kindle, nook, paperback and submit a review by the 1st)

Here are the rules!
Email me at to obtain a PDF file of Manipulating the List (or you're welcome to buy it to support me - or Once you've completed reading it - go to AND (must go to both!) and leave an honest review! Once you've left your reviews send me a new email that says 1) your name 2) your reviewer name on the sites. Then keep an eye on to make sure the NOTE (KINDLE GIVEAWAY) has your information to show that you have entered! Winner will be emailed as well. Thanks and Good Luck!

Hi my name is Tina Joy I just self published my first book Family Plot on amazon.

Amazon Family Plot Tina Joy

Kelly had no idea that she had any living relatives let alone relatives with a huge estate. When she receives the news that she has been named in their will she drops everything and goes to Salem Massachusetts to hear the reading. Little does she know that what she is about to inherit is much more than an estate and her life may hang in the balance because there is a serial killer who wants the inheritance all to himself. Will she be able to stop him and prove what he has done or will she become his next victim?

5.0 out of 5 stars very good book fast moving,

Read entire book in two nights. Interesting and fast moving. Looking forward to Tina Joy's next book. This book kept my interest and took several interesting turn of events. I loved the characters she created. I could relate to them and how I would feel if I were in their situation. I recommend if you like Mary Higgins Clark type books. Right there!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME!,

Hello Everyone,
I got my proof today for my first book and i was disappointed. I am desperately seeking asistance. I am a new author and I am requestiong readers to read my book and comment on my new website. My book is at  The title is Love Me Sane. I have plenty of comments. The problem is those comments are old and several of the changes have already been made.  I need more current reviews as i'm in the process of editing my proof.  There is a place on my website to write reviews. My website is brand new and not quite finished. If you will place your comments for my book under the Love Me Sane Review section of my website i will be killing two birds with one stone.  Establishing my website and editing my book.  My website address is I will return all favors when I have some time.  Thank you so much for your assistance and I look forward to reading your reviews.  Tralisa McNeal
