I have one book self published and many in the works.
Have any of you experience with Aardvark Publishing?
I want to get some ISBN numbers for my next two books and they seem to have the best deal and claim to have no strings attached.
I did my first book on CreateSpace which is very inexpensive and the book is selling, albeit slow but selling. They only thing I did not pick up on is their ISBN is not a normal one and is not and can not be listed in the Books In Print. Thusly you can't have an order from a book store. However if you really want to get into print quickly their software is easy to work with and it will cost you less than $100.00. Just be aware that if you want the book to be found anywhere but Amazon you will need to get a true ISBN number.

Thanks. I've written a sort of short story. Well its about 9000 words. I would love someone to go over it. I have edited it and a friend has also. I'm not sure if its publishable in way, shape or form. But if anyone is interested in reading it let me know. Here is an excerpt.

Essence of a Mother
The magic a mother feels giving birth to their baby is a powerful and fulfilling experience. The Essence a mother is not based on how one brings their baby into this world but the feeling one has for their newborn resting in their arms. It’s the overwhelming feeling of love, adoration, completeness and the miracle of bringing their child into their family. The essence of a mother can be about overcoming all odds and being blessed with motherhood itself. You can be a first time mother or a mother of a larger family. In my experience this was my essence of empowerment becoming a mother for the third time but choosing to labour the way I wanted to, without the use of drugs. The satisfaction of my ultimate goal was fulfilled.

Writing and publishing goes beyond boundaries and nationality is definitely never an issue.
As for tips, I would just say approach the right people through various networks on internet, send them your synopsis;I assure you if the work is good, there are people who will surely publish...!!

Do you have any tips that can improve our chances of being published?

Does it matter which country you're from?

I am really new and have no idea what is expected. I've had a few close people that have read some of my work. They do answer honestly and I know I have a lot of grammatical work to clean up but have been encouraged for the story I'm currently writing. I'd love for my work to be published one day.

I have already been published, but I have a lot of other works that I would surely love to see out there...
