Stumbling Into Infinity is part of a long tradition of spiritual memoirs that began with St. Augustine’s Confessions, 1,600 years ago. It opens the readers to new experiences and ways of seeing the world by letting them live the experience with the author.
Stumbling Into Infinity is a personal story that begins with the son of a Holocaust survivor, in an Orthodox Jewish household. As an adult, Michael gives up a successful career as a Madison Avenue advertising executive, and , through a mysterious turn of events, ends up in the unlikely position of friend and helper to a great humanitarian and spiritual leader.
Michael re-lives inner traumas, failed attractions, a fight at an Indian ashram, glimpses of wisdom, and a blossoming of love and devotion.
Wisdom from Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Book Review
This was a book that I was really looking forward to reading and I must say that I enjoyed it from the start, although after a few chapters I was really finding it hard to put down and just wanted to read more and more. The book is a really open and honest account of the authors life and his spiritual journey with the close bond he has enjoyed with his spiritual master Guruji Sri Sri Ravi Shankar.

Son of a middle class Jewish family, struggling with a strong fear of death, losing his mother, found it hard to love or be loved until fully understanding about reincarnation. Knowing that something in his life was missing he needed to discover his true inner self and find his true purpose in life for his personal growth. He had seemed to have lost his way in life.

With an unexpected meeting with an old friend who was now a Transcendental Meditation Teacher, he saw first hand the transformation that had taken place. This prompted him to take his first step on the spiritual path and he began attending meditation courses, talks by meditation teachers and travelling, even working for a few months at Maharishi International University. Still hungry to learn more it was recommended to him, by another chance meeting with a friend, to attend the Art of Living Course with her new teacher Pundit Ravi Shankar and the teaching of Sudarsshan Kriya life force energy technique. He describes the affects of first meeting him as 'the room became calm, and for no apparent reason I began to feel lighter and more joyful'.

This started his amazing spiritual transformation and a complete change of life for the author, learning the techniques, helping the organisation by organising tours and promotion, becoming a teacher himself and travelling the world bringing the Art of Living courses to corporate businesses and becoming the current president of the US Art of Living Foundation. Under the spiritual, almost fatherly, care and guidance of his non judgemental spiritual master he began to learn how to deal with his inner thoughts, emotions, cravings, stresses and anxieties, although at times found himself fighting against himself. He describes extremely clearly the overall powerful feelings when being in attendance of his master that you could almost feel the peace and calmness yourself.

The book is full of Ravi's unbelievable insight, extraordinary teachings, intimate gatherings and stories, as well as the clever teachings and experiences between a master and his pupil. I loved reading Ravi's teachings and stories, some of which will have you laughing, I certainly learnt important life lessons from his messages. In fact I felt that I could have read so many more, that I just didn't want the book to end. A book that you will want to read again and again. Highly recommend reading, an amazing spiritual journey with a huge impact to the reader.

A Warriors Soul - Path of The Warrior 1
by SR Staley
About the Author
Image of SR StaleyI have written hundreds of articles and commentaries during my two-decade long career as a public policy researcher, analyst, and novelist, but no form of writing captures my interest and passions like books. I love the "long form" of storytelling, and books provide the format and freedom to take my characters down paths my initial idea or outline could never have imagined. I find this especially true in fiction, but it's also true for my nonfiction. Writing is a process, and as a writer, I allow my creative juices to be energized by the journey.
Professionally--my "day job"--I am the Associate Director of the DeVoe Moore Center in the College of Social Sciences at Florida State University in Tallahassee where I also teach classes in urban planning and urban economics. I am also a senior research fellow with Reason Foundation in Los Angeles, where I founded the urban policy program in 1997.
Book Description
Luke is sure his martial arts training is worthless. That's why he quit. But when Dirk and his thugs move into his school, Luke quickly realizes that he may be the only one who can save Lucy, Chuck, and his other friends from their relentless and violent gang. Only Luke can make the ultimate decision to help his friends and stand up to the gang. It's a stark choice, and one he can't make alone.

A Warrior's Soul is Luke's journey as he struggles to cope with the gang, teachers who don't understand the threat, disbelieving parents, and his own lack of confidence. Will he have the courage to return to the dojo and resume his training? Will he have the wisdom to know when to confront the gang?
Book Review
The main character, Luke, displays all the emotions and traits of a teenager who is trying to find out where he belongs and what he has to do to survive. The added problem is the school bully, Dirk and his gang have decided it is Luke's turn to receive their treatment.

Luke is confused and doesn't know how to react, especially when a couple of his close friends are hurt by Dirk and his gang. When he approaches his mam and the school authorities they don't believe him, so what option does he have?

Having left his martial arts training school feeling it wasn't teaching him anything, he finds himself strangely drawn back to it where Pete, his trainer, is waiting for him. After an incident at school, Luke and his friend Lucy find themselves opening up to Pete, who then gives Lucy her first lesson and Luke realises what he has been taught is worth a lot more than he ever could envisage.

When Luke realises that Chuck, his friend, has took a weapon to sort out Dirk once and for all, he knows that he must stop him before someone ends up being killed, but how and when to do this is his next problem

The story is an excellent one, it shows that violence is not the answer, through a disciplined regime of training to defend yourself, that if you can stick up for yourself and react in the correct manner then you can achieve your goals.

The authors writing brings the story and emotions to life - fear, anger, frustration and trying to establish a power base is poignant to any establishment with an age range. The growing up stages of any youth rely on one thing, which is brought across very strongly throughout this book, that they all need a role model of some description that they can relate to, to alleviate their worries and seek advice from.

I would strongly recommend this book to any young reader to give them the belief that their is always someone they can turn to.

My review of “The Absolutely Amazing Adventures of Agent Auggie Spinoza”. It's a really fun Middle Grade action book!

Our Book Review
Imagine been close to your father and mother and not really knowing what life they had endured. Then one day your father gives you some tapes that have recorded his life, what an eye opener and this is what happened to the author.
The story begins in Tripoli in 1940 and war has just been declared, being Italian nationals it is not long before 'Papa' is called up to serve his country. This leads to 'Mama', Nino AND Gino left behind to fend for themselves. As the bombings arrive in Tripoli 'Mama' makes the decision to move and try and find 'Papa' taking the family on an adventure........Once reunited with 'Papa' the family are settled until the German's arrive and force them to be moved to Sicily where they stayed until the end of the war.
The facts and events which are described and related by the young Nino are fantastic. Having to step up to be the man of the house when his dad is called up, the antics and capers he has to endure in order to help his mother and sister survive are remarkable. Even though the whole world is at war, he is oblivious to this and sees his life as an adventure.
This is a really enjoyable book to read, the atmosphere and places described come alive and every scene can be envisaged in your mind. I am really looking forward to the following books in the series to find out what happens to Nino and what further adventures he had. The author has even produced products relating to the book.
