Advice needed on Author/Book tours

'm fairly new to blogging and have never hosted an author book tour/giveaway before. How do they work? I filled out a form in a book blogs group, but how do I know if I've been approved or do they automatically approve you? I understand how  Q&As and giveaways work, but when they ask about a "Feature" are they talking about featuring the author/book or is it something else? Any tips or advice would be appreciated.

It really depends on the tour company.  Most will take a look at your blog to try to determine if you are a match for any of their tours.  A feature usually means featuring the author and book.

 

I am currently looking for tour hosts.  I cover many different genres of books but am currently booking a tour for readers who like YA (young adult) books.  Your welcome to send me an email for this or to get in my database for future tours.

A book feature normally summarizes the book. Here is a sample from my blog:

A tour might also want you to interview the author, host a giveaway, and/or review the book.
