Britt - could you expand on what you mean by being consistant? Do you do regularly scheduled updates - like every Tuesday and Friday? or do you mean that you need to just keep on blogging and not let days/weeks lapse? Or something else all together? This is a topic I've been wondering about.

I'm terribly inconsistent. I used to be on a schedule but summer ruined that for me. Most people who read blogs read A LOT of blogs. So they are not going to remember that you post only on certain days or have certain features on certain days. Many times, I see a post in my reader that says, "Sorry, I didn't post yesterday let me tell you why . . . " Don't tell me why you didn't post yesterday given the fact that I DIDN"T even notice, just blog. I think being consistent means not letting incredible amounts of time lapse on your blog. If people are used to you putting up a post a day and then you go away for two weeks then they'll notice. But if you skip a day or two. That's fine. Whatever you determine: every day, every other day, once a week just try to keep it around that number but if you don't make it all the time, don't worry about it.

Yup that's what I meant! Just try to keep around the same # of posts a week or month.

I'm so bad about this on my project blog... I'll do every day for a month and then not post for a month... not good!

I usually draft posts 5 days a week and post something every day on at least one of my blogs. One blog I usually post weekly, one just about every day and the third maybe 2 or 3 times a week. I usually draft posts when I think of an idea and then revise them and get the pictures I want to add then schedule it to post at a future date automatically. I try to preview it once more to add finishing touches before it actually gets posted.

I blog every day at two blogs. The number of times varies since I also do paid posts when I can grab them. Today I did three blog posts at my regular blog and actually now that I think about it three over at my soap blog which is pretty common since I watch three soaps but on the weekends I've been trying to post something too.

I blog every day, but usually not on Sat. Unless I am out of town and unable, for whatever reason, am unable to post. Then I would post before hand to let everyone know I am away.
