I just started my blog a few months ago and am finally getting a little more active with it but I still have a few questions
What should go in a review policy? (I don't actually plan to have an official one I'm just curious in case I ever do or if someone asks.)
Should I have a separate email address just for the blog? (Mostly asking because I've gotten a few book request but don't know where they found my address and if they found it so easily I'm mostly concerned if I'll end up getting spam too.)
What's the process of sending books that you own in a giveaway? (Pretty much what's an easy way to get them in the mail?)
I'd appricate whatever answer you can give thanks

I'd definitely recommend a separate email address for your blog so you can keep things separate and control things a bit better.
A review policy should include the kinds of books you like to review, the timeframe you'd review them in, and the best way to contact you.
For giveaways, you can print postage through paypal if that works for you or request publishers ship the books.
Permalink Reply by Donna McBroom-Theriot on June 8, 2011 at 8:16pm Amy just about answered every thing. Check out other blogs. Most have review policies with all of the above information in them. I have one. Just take what you read from several and develop your own and just keep tweaking it until it works for you.

If you haven't decided, leave me a message. Think about exactly what you want to do right now and we'll work with that. Then, if you decide to add more later, you just add. Donna
I suggest you also mention whether you review ebooks or not.
I don't have a separate email address and I don't get much book-related spam. I mean, I get tons of spam but no more than i did pre-blog. ;-)
Permalink Reply by Allison on July 5, 2011 at 6:24pm I read other review policies to help me develop mine. After that, I modified it when needed to reflect issues that arose. For example, after receiving and responding to a request to review an e-books, I added to my policy that I accept only print books. Now when I receive similar requests, I politely decline and refer them to my policy.
As for email, before blogging, I had a personal account and a business account. I use my business account for my blogging address. I receive lots of spam but no more than normal for that account. Only my family and friends have my personal email. With it, I never receive spam.
