I thought this post might be helpful for everyone.
I saw this morning on The Story Siren that Kristi had created a Privacy Policy - for all the details on why (for parents who's young children enter contests, etc), see Kristi's post.
I hadn't thought about creating one before, but now I think it's a great idea. Before I do, I just thought it might be an idea to find out what more experienced bloggers think should be included in a Privacy Policy. Any thoughts? Does anyone have a Privacy Policy they would mind linking to for other bloggers to see? Any experiences where a Privacy Policy may have come in handy? Basically, anything you think will be helpful for us.
I'd never thought about it. I don't think I have any young readers, though, really.
You can't do anything about info in the comments, though. That's out there for anyone to see. The only stuff you can protect is what they email directly to you...
I don't have a privacy policy but after seeing Kristi's post I think that I do need one. I have mailed out prizes to those under 18. It's something that I need to look into.
