**THE BIGGEST GIVEAWAY YET!** Here it is! It's no secret that authors need reviews (as well as likes). I have a goal of obtaining 200 reviews in 2 weeks in preparation for my pitch to a few big wig publishers! YIKES! I believe that we can do it! If you help me reach my goal, I'll give away a KINDLE from Best buy! If we fall short of 200, I'll still giveaway a $50.00 giftcard (to your choice Best buy or Amazon) The winner can also elect to get the gift card instead of the KINDLE (in case you already have one).

Drawing will be on Feb. 1st (I will quit sending out PDF's on the 17th but you can still "pay to play" by buying the kindle, nook, paperback and submit a review by the 1st)

Here are the rules!
Email me at to obtain a PDF file of Manipulating the List (or you're welcome to buy it to support me - or Once you've completed reading it - go to AND (must go to both!) and leave an honest review! Once you've left your reviews send me a new email that says 1) your name 2) your reviewer name on the sites. Then keep an eye on to make sure the NOTE (KINDLE GIVEAWAY) has your information to show that you have entered! Winner will be emailed as well. Thanks and Good Luck!

Hi Teddy. I personally don't think it's right to rate your own blogs. I think you're right. It does muck up the average. I don't do it for that very reason. I think that blog networks need to make it so that the author can't do the rating.

This isn't really a book blogger ethics question but I'm going to ask it here any way. I posed this question on Goodreads as well because it is where I noticed it.

How does everyone feel about authors rating their own books? They do it often on Goodreads. I think it scews the average and shouldn't be allowed.

You should put a protected by copyscape on your site. If you run a copyscape run on your site you will find that there is probably more than just her that copied your blog.

The thing is, she'll do it again to somebody else. She definitely should be called out on it with an email.

I am not going to say anything. It is funny because her website is so much nicer than mine, and she probably could have written something better - she was just lazy!

Wow Linda - I can't believe someone would actually do that. What's the point of writing a blog if it's not your thoughts?

You can call her on it and tell her to take it down or attribute the quote to you.
