when i was at university, I began collecting passages about food - whether it be meals, recipes etc - that i found in fiction. haven't thought about that in some time actually. has anyone else done that? does anyone have favourite food passages in fiction?

Hi. The Christmas Cookie Club by Ann Pearlman has some great foodie facts and recipes. This year she has a cookbook that stems from the novel. Excellent books.

Check out my blog for some more details.

Two of my favoirte novels with sumptuous food:
Chocolat by Joanne Harris The multicourse meal Vianne prepares in Armande's honor is to die for, as well as all the descriptions of chocolate throughout the novel!
The Wedding Officer by Anthony Capella has some fabulous Italian meal scenes.
Both books are wonderful and I highly recommend them!
