When you review a cookbook, how many recipes do you try before writing your review?

I like to try at least 6 from different sections of the book.  I generally try  a few that are unusual to me, meaning either new ingredients, new techniques or new ethnic flavour.

At my website Buttery Books I prepare meals and plan parties from books I've read. If there isn't any mention of food in the novel, then I research the cuisine from the area in which the novel is set. I love exploring new and interesting ethnic foods and drink!
Whoops! Misread this question, then couldn't figure out how to edit it! (I'm new on this site!) Oh well...
But to answer the question correctly ....
I usually try a 3 or 4 recipes from each section of a cookbook before I pass judgement.
I am on the right track then. I wanted to ensure that I was sampling enough.
This is a great idea. You could also add some decorations that reflect the book. Even more fun if your guests have also read the book.
I'm pretty bad, only 1-2.
I visited your blog, and it does look like you do more reviews of recipes than whole cookbooks. In that case it's perfect to just check out one or two.
