New Series Cover Reveal - Catching Cassidy, Book 1 of the brand new Harborside Nights Series by +Melissa Foster  available to Pre-order Now !

Wyatt Armstrong never imagined that instead of celebrating his college graduation, he and his twin sister would be dealing with the death of their parents. Then again, Wyatt had never been one to think past tomorrow. He heads to their summer home in Harborside, Massachusetts, with his best friend Cassidy Lowell in tow, to spread his parents’ ashes and to try to figure out his next step.

Six foot two, infuriatingly handsome, and flirtatious, Wyatt Armstrong has always been there for Cassidy, helping her pass her classes and fend off unwanted advances, while driving her insane with his one-night stands—but that’s what best friends are for, isn’t it? Having each other’s backs. There was never any doubt that she would accompany him to his family’s summer home—even if her jealous boyfriend is giving her hell for it. But he doesn’t have anything to be jealous of…or does he?

It’s impossible to ignore the sizzling heat between them as Wyatt and Cassidy get even closer, but Cassidy knows Wyatt’s past, and she has a real job to begin in the fall. Wyatt may be a sure thing for the summer, but Cassidy needs more. For the first time in his life, Wyatt is forced to look toward the future if he doesn’t want to lose the one woman who’s shared his past and owns his heart.

Our Beck Valley Books review of fun romance Chasing Charlie by Kathy Carmichael 'I found myself smiling and chuckling throughout'

How far would you go to make sure your parents lived the life they really wanted? That's the deliberation of Davis, a wannabe cowboy who has always dreamt of owning his own ranch but had to put that all on hold since he had to take over his fathers business when he died. Not only that Davis is the handsome bachelor in town who could have his pick of any lady, happy as he is his mother's isn't. Her only dream is to see her son married, she has even turned down moving to Tokyo with the love of her own life as she cannot leave Davis until he is settled. What is he to do? Davis and his father in law to be, Jim, come up with a plan to find a fiance to show to his mother until she finally agrees to live her own life and be happy.

Charlie is one of the town librarians who Davis regularly sees as he continues to study up on his dream ranch, not his usual type but his mother would like her, although there is something about her..... Charlie encouraged by her roommate to start being more daring in life and take the odd risk accepts to the challenge of being the pretend finance, after all there's no possible chance anything else would happen as she detests cowboys. Simple enough plan, but will it work out the way they planned or will things take a romantic turn?

This was a real quick read, full of fun I found myself smiling and chuckling throughout. I loved the predicaments they found themselves in, their constant teasing of each other and wondering what would happen next in the storyline. As I've mentioned before romance isn't my first choice in reading but this surprised me and I actually found myself loving the read, there is a charm to this pair that seems to take hold of you.

A nice entertaining read that I really enjoyed, looking forward to book 2 and catching up with everyone yeehaw!!

5***** for Whole Lotta Love by Rachelle Ayala 'romance, a hint of mystery and a few twists and turns, a must read' reviews Life as Leels

"I couldn’t put this book down! I stayed up until 2:30am this morning reading because I couldn’t put it down, and when I woke up, I grabbed the book to finish reading it.

Dylan is… wow! I love the bad boy types, and while he turned out to be nothing that I expected, he definitely has my heart.

Little Miss Carina reminds me of a younger me – all business, no fun.
While this book is mostly a romance story, there is a hint of mystery in it – a few twists and turns as to what is really going on – and definitely drama.

Unless you are a man that really likes romance, I don’t forsee a man enjoying this read, but I don’t know any woman who would not enjoy this book!"

BRAND NEW Fated for Love by Melissa Foster 'a fun adventure with a ton of laughs, a lot of romance' reviews Family, Love and Other Stuff
Book #8 The Bradens, Love in Bloom Series #16

"Well, just damn. I’d love to climb into Melissa Foster’s mind and see what other sexy hunks she has hiding in there.  This is another winner in the Love in Bloom Series.

Fated for Love by Melissa Foster is the love story of Callie Barnes and Wes Braden. Yes, another Braden. This one is a super hot and sexy cowboy. I totally swooned over Wes and his love of the outdoors. Callie is definitely a perfect fit for him even though she is definitely not the outdoorsy type. Heights? Afraid of them. Horses? Yep, she’s not a fan. Will Wes and Callie find common ground and overcome their obstacles?

Callie has the funniest friends and I love that they push Callie beyond what she thinks are her limits. As for Wes (*swoon*) he has a love of family and a healthy romantic side. I found myself drawn to the characters and Ms. Foster had me hanging on every word and turning the pages as quickly as I could just so I could find out what happened next.

This is a fun adventure with a ton of laughs, a lot of romance, and a pair of kindred spirits. I cannot wait to see what she has up her sleeve next (let me suggest more sexy hunks?). As with all books in this series, Fated for Love is a complete stand-alone novel. Although, I would suggest reading the other books in this series just because there is always a hot, sexy hero. "

"CHASING CHARLIE by Kathy Carmichael is a perfectly light, refreshing read for summer. It’s great for an afternoon of reading on the beach or by the pool. I really enjoyed this fun, charming romance about Charlie and Davis. Charlie is a librarian in a Texas town who has fallen into a routine and is bored with the men she dates. She has practically resigned herself to settling into a “librarian” lifestyle. Her roommate advises her to step outside the box and live a little larger. Charlie accepts the advice and starts living larger with the purchase of a shape hugging, red dress that is very atypical for a librarian. The dress transforms Charlie into a knock-out and draws the attention of her most handsome library patron, Davis.

Davis, an accomplished businessman, frequents the library to research cowboys and ranching. He’s ready to allow someone else to manage the family business so that he can pursue his dream of becoming a cowboy. Also, Davis would love for his widowed mother to accept the marriage proposal from her long-time companion who will be leaving the country soon. He knows his mother will never agree to the proposal and leave the country until she sees that Davis is settled. Davis devises a plan to find a temporary fiance’ to show his mother that he is settled so that she can pursue her happiness. When Davis spots Charlie in the red dress, he knows she will be perfect for his scheme.

Charlie reluctantly agrees to Davis’s plan and the two embark on a humorously staged romance that quickly becomes not such a farce after all! Problems abound, however, with Davis’s reputation as a handsome, little-black-book owning, bachelor. Also, Charlie has a very strong dislike of cowboys. Throw Charlie’s two over-protective brothers into the mix, and the combination makes a very good story.

CHASING CHARLIE is the first book I’ve ready by Kathy Carmichael and it definitely won’t be the last. Luckily, this is only the first of her Texas Two-Step Series. I’m looking forward to more delightfully refreshing romantic reads by Carmichael." reviews My Book Addiction and More

Taken by Love by Melissa Foster 'made me pause and truly reflect' reviewsDivas With A Purpose

"I love that Melissa Foster’s novels are so relate-able. Dr. Daisy Honey comes home after medical school while deciding on where to start the rest of her life. While home, she’s working in the town’s urgent care clinic. Daisy has a huge chip on her shoulder from her teenage years and the relentless teasing by her classmates. This made me pause and truly reflect. My oldest son has dealt with teasing (and I did, too, growing up) and I have written about and worked with different anti-bullying campaigns. I try to instill in the tweens and teens I encounter that the “harmless” teasing they do can and will make a difference in the lives of others. While this is a fictional story, there are many adults who have hang-ups and complexes today because of the teasing and bullying they endured decades ago. Melissa does a great job at capturing this concept with Daisy and her experiences coming home after years away.

I did not grow up in a small town, but my family is from one and I spent many weekends and school breaks at my grandparents and cousins home. It definitely has it’s pros and cons and Ms. Foster uncovers many of them so accurately in Taken By Love.

As usual with her novels, the love story between Daisy and Luke is steamy – yet believable and relatable. As they fall in love and face the demons from their past, you find yourself cheering them along throughout their personal journeys.

Taken By Love is part of a series but can be read alone as a standalone novel. I will warn you, once you read one you will be ready to read them all! Enjoy!"
