I must say that I know little about Book Blogs & reviews. I've received some warm-hearted welcomes from some folks...follow me, I'll follow you...and bloggers that cover Romance & YA. Problem is, I'm a documentarian & have been for 35 years. Been all around the world. Many extremely remote spots. Often tribal. I need some non-fiction reviewers & hopefully they've travelled the roads a tad. It's easy enough to get the link to 'Through the Lens of My Eye: Adventures of a Documentary Cameraman' but let me entice you with a couple of pics! Cheers, Michael

Dear Michael Boland,

I would be interested in reviewing your book. I also have an author with a very short non-fiction book. Would you be interested in a review exchange?

Regards

Charles

Charles; Before I commit to anything I'd have to know more about the author & the topic of their very short non-fiction book. It has to be something that would interest me. I mean...if it's aliens spotted at the South Pole, I'd I have to give it the miss...Cheers, Michael

I agree with that.I'm starting to see more of that as I promote books. I will still review your book regardless...

Specifically, I and the author are looking at what information should be included to make it better.

The book I was referring to for the exchange was http://www.amazon.com/No-Easy-Day-Firsthand-ebook/dp/B00AZLLI78/

No Easy Day...Katherine Bigelow has a movie out on the adaption & getting rave reviews. What amazon is asking for is a review of the synopsis. They say that if you want the book, then just buy it. The synopsis is in eBook form. I mean, the hardcover is a best seller on the NY Times book list & I guess Mark Owen wants to make a bit more coin by publishing the synopsis in eBook form. I can't see why it wouldn't do well seeing that the hardcover is doing well...and that's not even considering all the press he gets from the movie. Bigelow was up for a Golden Globe & has an Academy Award nomination. I think Mark's doing very well...plus he can say he was on the Navy Seal 6 team. Enough said!!

Agreed.. I guess I got your opinion on that! I did let the author know early on that people will be looking for the "real thing".

If you still need a review, feel free to send it. I think I would enjoy hearing your opinion in a book!

Lastly, do you mind if I pass on your opinions to the author?

Yes, Charles, by all means! To be a member of Navy Seal 6 & tasked with that amazing feat...then writing about it...WOW! Please extend my best. Now, as for my book...I've got your e-mail address. I'm going to extend a 'DropBox' invite to you & you can download the eBook that way & after you can tell me what you think...but I suspect you will not be disappointed. No one has yet & that includes some fairly talented members of my peer group who tell it like it is...
