I'd like to see how people would vote for Leon Uris' "Exodus" vs. James Michener's "The Source."

I can't say how I'd vote for them because I've only read one of these books and it was a billion years ago, and I just don't have time to read another big book now.

So, if I make a suggestion, you will guess that I have read all the books. I'd still like to see how people react to them. How does Tolkien's three volume "The Lord of the Rings" -- it is one story, only -- match up to either Frank Herbert's one volume (only the one) story Dune, or the seven books in the Narnia sequence?
