Hello! I am editing my previous discussion post to be more specific about what I'm looking for.

I'm looking for bloggers who:

-Review books and talk about literary issues
-Are connected to social networks and other bloggers
-Have high readership
-Are able to read and review a 400-page book quickly
-Are focused on fiction (NOT YA, Children's, Romance, Thriller/Horror or Fantasy)

If you meet these criteria, please send me your link!

And if you don't, please "friend" me, because who knows what the future may hold! And, I love looking at your work, no matter the subject.

Thank you all for your time,
Sarah D.

Hello, everyone,

I hope I haven't upset anyone by keeping my author and title a mystery. I am looking for a very specific type of blogger for this ARC... no YA, no mystery, no romance, no classic lit., no horror/thriller. I suppose I should have said this at the outset of this discussion. I am sorry!

I am new to Book Blogs, and I'm trying to figure it all out. I would love to offer opportunities to bloggers in the future, but perhaps this is not the right forum for me to be a part of?

I respect everything you all do. I am a blogger myself. I apologize for keeping my author a mystery, but I have a limited number of books to share, and as I said, your blog must be a good fit.

Thank you, Sarah D.
Sarah, everyone knows that ARCs aren't a fact of life for bloggers - they're just a great perk when they're available. As a business woman, you know the bottom line for promoting the book, and getting the most (in this case, quality reviews by qualified reviewers) bang for your buck.

I think what would help, at the very least, would be a category for the book? If you posted that the book was YA, for example, I know I personally wouldn't be interested, but there are plenty of bloggers who would be. Perhaps also a very general idea of the book? That might also help determine who would be interested and whether they are qualified.

Perhaps you could mention any other important criteria - such as the blog must be a review blog, not a personal blog with occasional reviews?

Don't get discouraged,
Michelle
Michelle, thank you for your honest response. This is very helpful to me. I thought being concise might be a good thing, but next time I will be more specific.

That said, the blogs must be review blogs, with decent readership, connection to social networks and the blogging community, and focused on fiction. I hate to be picky, because I would love to give everyone a copy, but I just don't have that many to share.

I hope you understand.

Thank you again for your response!
Sarah
Hi Sarah, I love reading and reviewing books. My blog is about self-help type books, but I'm curious what the book to be reviewed is about. I post reviews on Amazon and other sites even if they aren't in sync with my blog. Thanks!

Hi, Sarah:

My blog falls more into "general" than any specific genre, but it does have a slant toward women's interests. Here's my url so you can take it into consideration: http://aseaofbooks.blogspot.com/
Sarah - I would be interested if my blog is a fit - I review all kinds of books. My blog can be found here: http://myreadingroom-crystal.blogspot.com
Sarah,

Don't get discouraged. There are bloggers among us who have very specific niches - YA, Romance, Cookbooks, etc. Others run the entire spectrum. You might want to try doing a specific book blog search through Google Book Blogs for a book that is like the one you are trying to promote. See what comes up.

I would love for you to check out my book blog, Alison's Book Marks. I review everything from Children's books, middle readers, Young Adult, and Adult fiction and non-fiction. If you think it's a good fit, let me know.

Good luck - we're here to help!

Alison
Depending on the author/title, I'd be interested. I review a myriad of different books on my site.

Hi Gina,
Will you please accept my friend request so I can send you a message? Thank you! :)
Hi, I read and review books for the Simon and Schuster Bookclub Advisory Board. Always looking for more to read and review. I post reviews here, Shelfari, Powells, GoodReads and several other book sites.

Hi again,
When you respond, would you please be sure to state your URL, genre and readership? I have a limited number of books to give away, and so I'd like to know more about you as I "meet" you. And again, I'm looking for book/ lit blogs. Also, if I don't contact you, that means you weren't a good fit for one reason or the other. Please don't take it personally. I just don't want to waste your time with a novel that doesn't suit your blog/readership. I know you are all busy and have many commitments. Thank you!
