Hi, fellow Bookbloggers,
My name is Ray Verola and I am fairly new to what appears to be a great website. I am looking for reviews of my novel, TORPEDO (a thriller with strong characters; 77,246 words—approximately 278 pages), which is coming out at the end of this month (June 2012) or early July.
I am the author of many short stories, a few of which have won awards. A collection of some of my stories (“On The Edge…and other stories”) has been favorably reviewed on Amazon by independent reviewers, including Kirkus Reviews.
I will send a free copy (your choice of softcover book, ebook, or email attachment) to anyone willing to post an honest review of TORPEDO on Amazon. (The email attachment is available now.) I’d also be willing to review your book too, if you have one needing a review.
The protagonist of TORPEDO is a man named Wilson Thomas Wilson. W (as he was known long before the 43rd U.S. president became widely known by this letter of the alphabet) had two big strikes against him at birth: The first was his moniker; not too many people have the same first and last name. The other was that he came into this world with small stumps for arms and legs. His small body was the genesis of the nickname, Torpedo, he so hated. In addition, he never knew his father—a subject his mother always curiously avoided discussing with him. This secret plays prominently in the story.
W overcame these problems to become super-successful and esteemed around the world.
But now, in the present day, Wilson will be called on to save his adopted hometown city of Pittsburgh from a monumental terrorist attack while also battling his former best friend and now bitter rival, as well as significant internal demons.
For once, even he questions if he can rise to the occasion, as he always had in the past.
I am confident in promising you an interesting and exciting read with TORPEDO. If you would like to review it, please email me at rayvee@aol.com. Thanks so much.

Dear Penny,
Thanks so much. I just accepted your friend offer before I read this message. I had no idea you had agreed to review my book.
If you can and it's okay, send me your email address and I'll get you the book as soon as it comes out in the Kindle format. You can email me at rayvee@aol.com. I'm hoping for the end of this month as a release date. Once again, thanks so much. As I said in my original post, I feel confident in promising an interesting read.
