I love this genre so much--even more specifically, post-apocalyptic ficiton, I've dedicated a page on my blog with links to reviews and tidbits. The page is called Post-Apocalypse, Now and Then.

Right now I'm reading Harry Harrison's 1966 novel Make Room! Make Room! upon which the movie Soylent Green was based. Good stuff.
