I'm only about a third of the way through right now (but I am loving it.) Here are a few questions:

- What type of research did you do before (and while) writing THE HERETIC'S DAUGHTER?
- How long did it take for you to write this novel?

Thanks again for letting me participate in the Michael Connelly interview! For the Kathleen Kent interview my question is:

The book description mentions that you are a tenth-generation descendant of Martha Carrier. How did you come to be interested in her story? Was it a family legend that was passed down and that you grew up hearing about or did you come across some piece of family history that prompted you begin to research?
