THE MAJOR’S LETTER is a fictional account of the last week in the life of Union Major Sullivan Ballou, featuring the famous letter he wrote to his wife Sarah shortly before his death at the Battle of Bull Run. Made famous by the PBS Documentary “The Civil War,” Ballou’s letter has been called one of the most eloquent statements of love and devotion found in 19th century literature.

Please check it out and give me your feedback on how you'd like to see it develop. I want to write a book I enjoy, but more importantly, one that you might enjoy as well. Thanks! And I look forward to hearing from you! You can reach me at rhladd@gmail.com.
