Greetings Everyone, I would like to introduce myself my pen name is J. R. LaGreca and I'm the author of five books, Afternoon Tea, Suburban Weird, The Gloaming, Seduction and Fleshpot. My books have received five star reviews from Midwest Book Review and other reviewers. My books recently became available as Amazon Kindle, so this is an exciting time in my writing career and I’m trying to get the word out there. I specialize in historical and modern fiction with sub-genres of suspense, mystery and intrigue.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Christine and I am a writer from Florida. I have been a voracious reader all my life. Willa Cather is one of my greatest inspirations and, though I can't say I have a favorite book, per say, One of Ours is without a doubt in my top five. Generally, I try to read the classics, American, and British literature. Lately, I've been a Hemingway and Kerouac kick, but right now I'm reading Orwell's Down and Out in Paris and London (it's really good thus far, I highly recommend it!).

No doubt thanks to all my reading, I also love to write. I have recently had a novel published, entitled August, 1899. It is my first published work and I would love if you all would take a look at it! It is available on Amazon and Barns & Noble's. It is a period piece based in turn-of-the-century Boston and follows the lives of four young socialites as they emerge into the world beyond their families' reputations. Publication has been such a lengthy process, that it is almost unreal that it is finally done! I am so pleased with it and hope you are too!

Hi Bobbie! I just joined your group this week and look forward to interesting reviews, reading suggestions and conversations on literature of all kinds. I am a lifelong avid reader--everything from Hemingway to Chopra to Suzanne Collins to D.H. Lawrence.  Where would we be without stories and storytelling?

Have a great day!

Patrick

Hi! I'm Bree, the blogger behind the Magic Attic (http://theawesomemagicattic.blogspot.com/). I'm an avid reader, reviewer, and writer, but above all others, I'm a dreamer.

I read all types of novels, but I do have an unhealthy linking for YA dystopian, and YA paranormal romance. Actually... just anything with some romance in it ;)

Please swing by my blog, take a peek, and possibly leave me a comment? I'm hosting a giveaway right now to celebrate 100+ followers, so if anyone's interested, please enter!

Thanks,
Bree

Hi Everyone,

I'm lucy and I'm a 21 year old soon to be psychology graduate. I'm from and am living in Ireland. I have just started blogging in the last couple of weeks so I don't really know what I'm doing at the moment. There is so much to learn. I'm just surfing around people's blogs and setting up my own page.

I love romance, especially historical romance. But I also read other genres if I hear of a good book. I have started to get into fantasy lately after reading The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, which I talked about on my blog. The Secret Life of Books

Take a horseback ride with your dog along the trails near Oak Springs, a fictional town in the southern Missouri Ozarks. Birds sing along the way, and you will enjoy a character driven family saga that will draw you in to want to know this family better. They appreciate their family relationships, though sometimes rocky, and study their family history. We invite you to come along with us. The blog leads the way. 'Back to the Homeplace' gets you started, in 1987. Available as an ebook for Kindle or in hardback from Amazon. 'The Homeplace Revisited' will arrive in a month or so, set in 1996. It updates the Bevins Family Trust and focuses on the next generation: Christopher, Jennifer and Matt. Join us!  ;-)

My life is like another episode of "I love Lucy!" I'm Donna, a peri-menopausal fifty-something year old wife, mother, grandmother, domestic engineer, organization specialist, amateur chef, accomplished baker, writer, interior decorator, literary critic, flower gardener, keeper of the dogs, book reviewer, and connoisseur of most things chocolate. If that doesn’t keep you comin’ back, then maybe my “Lucy” adventures will. Things just sorta happen when I’m around. Did I mention that I have also added book reviewer to the list? I finally found a legal way to feed my book addiction. I review most genres.

Being a new writer I am trying to learn the ways of marketing which seems to be the most important part of writing. I guess you can be a great writer, but if nobody sees your book you have not won the race.

When I'm not writing I am a detective for a sheriff's department in Northern California. However I don't write detective novels. I write Sci-Fi. or at least something like Sci-Fi.

Marketing your book seems to be the biggest hurdle at the moment. I am learning slowly and picking the brains of my fellow writers, learning from their experience and passing on what I have learned. I am seeking a blog where I find like minds with the same problems and how to over come them. Glad to be here hope to be a help to the blog.
