Today is Remembrance (Veteran's) Day but why do we wear poppies in our lapels?  I knew about Flanders Fields but there is so much more to the story.  HERE

Hello, everyone.  I’m new to the group.

I make my living as a freelance journalist and copy editor.  I’m also an amateur historian with an interest in 1890-1920, with a particular focus in World War One and how it changed the world and ordinary people’s lives.

Despite my success in nonfiction, my love has always been historical fiction.  I’ve began writing when I was a child and, from the beginning, the goal has been to become a novelist.  Finally, I decided if it was going to happen, I needed to make it a priority.  I made changes to how I run my editorial business and finally completed a novel about a WW1 nurse I started about four years ago.  I love how historical fiction gives me the opportunity to blend my two passions – writing and history.

I’m ready to find an agent, although I’m also open to small presses and independent publishers.

Recently I started blogging more frequently and discussing historical fiction, my writing process and historical events.  I invite you to visit ( and subscribe if you share the same passions.

I look forward to meeting you all.

Digital to the Core by Mark Raskino, Graham Waller

Interesting, full of examples and quotes. I was real hooked from the start and impressed by its futuristic views.
You discover past research that have lead to advanced technology and how the digital will bring them to a new life with even better accurate utilities for the customers, the well being of the world even if we are not aware day by day of these new technical influences.

The Bollywood Bride by Sonali Dev

Darker with sometimes heavy emotions, Sonali Dev is leading the reader to a great romantic story. There is something really fresh about her plot.
Of course, it's a romantic love story but not an easy one. Nothing predictable.
