Darren Trott has a job, a feisty girlfriend and a house with potential. Oh yes, he's living the dream. Problem is, it isn't the dream he applied for. You see, Darren likes taking photos of plastic models in real world settings. He calls it art. His girlfriend Amanda calls it a frivolous pursuit. She wants him to give it all up and turn his garage studio into a nail bar. Trouble is, his art won't let him. Every time Darren takes a picture, something very peculiar happens. Something amazing, and weird, and genuinely out of this world. Psychopathic relatives, aboriginal demons, warrior queens, and a Brownie called George with red skin, claws and an attitude bigger than a banker s wage, all want a piece of Darren. But they'll have to get past Amanda first because she's at the front of the queue. DC Farmer cordially invites you to join him in exploring the next white-knuckle case report from the Hipposync archives.

4.0 de un máximo de 5 estrellas Interesting time traveler! 30 de abril de 2015

The Adventures of JoJo Smith is an interesting tale of a 'very' English Englishman who suddenly finds himself transported back into the middle ages. The writing is very descriptive and the story unusual enough to keep you turning the pages. I also found several of the characters to be quite endearing, a good read.

Hello Kerry,

Please consider reviewing my novel Developing Minds: An American Ghost Story.

DEVELOPING MINDS follows a group of recent college graduates who struggle with feelings of alienation and their addictions as they try to survive a year of teaching in two dysfunctional Miami public schools.

Red City Review calls it "A frighteningly accurate depiction of inner-city schools… a full-bodied work of fiction that will ring true with both students and teachers and provide a point of hope in an industry that has become increasingly profit-minded and complex.”

DEVELOPING MINDS will be published by Laughing Fire Press in September 2015 (ISBN # 978-0-9674922-9-2). If interested in writing a review, send me a message or email me at jon [at] jonlapoma [dot] com. I can send a PDF immediately or a print copy in about a month.

I'm a novelist, award-winning screenwriter, songwriter, and poet based in San Diego. My work often explores themes of alienation and misery as human constructions that can be overcome through self-understanding and the acceptance of suffering.

Thank You,

Jon LaPoma
