SOLAR ECLIPSE ON NOVEMBER 13th 2012
Most people think of Astrology as a birth sign that defines them. I took a deeper interest in this; the mother of modern day ASTRONOMY in the early 1990s.
I dabble and enjoy the paths planets create. I am an amateur Astrologer who enjoys the books of this wonderful part of the predictive arts.
To celebrate the SOLAR ECLIPSE today Tuesday the 13th at 5:08 pm EST The Bridge of Deaths has invited Astrologer AMY VOLKERS to talk a bit about Astrology and herself.
- I am sure our visitors would love to know how you became interested in astrology and at what age, can you share with us?
I came into this life wired to be interested in spiritual subjects though it was probably in junior high that I started finding and reading books on everything from auras to reincarnation (I did a term paper on reincarnation when I was in high school). Somewhere I have a 2 page ‘report’ on Astrology that I did for extra credit in a high school psychology class…but it wasn’t until 1987 when I started seriously studying Astrology after I met Karen McCoy.
- How often do we experience solar eclipses? We cannot see them but the energies have an effect on us.
Eclipses happen about every 6 months and we can see them at times - when their path falls across the part of the earth that we happen to live on. Today’s Solar Eclipse in Scorpio will only be visible in northern Australia and the south Pacific (only the beginning of this eclipse occurs over land).
