Supernatural Sundays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by Hale & Salvatore Supernatural Must Reads. To join in, just do the following:

Grab your current 'supernatural' read, and find your 2 favorite quotes of your favorite character in the novel. Secondly, look for a photo on the internet, who you think most resembles the character of your choosing.

I just checked out your meme & love it! Are you still planning on doing it?
Love the idea of supernatural sunday! I am going to follow your blog and join the fun!
Love it! I signed up to be a follower to help remind myself that come Sunday, I should participate!
Notable Quotables is a meme we started at Bewitched Bookworms to share some of our favorite quotes in the books we've been reading. We think it is a fun way to find out a bit more about each other as book bloggers and to share everything from great snarky zingers to sigh inducing avowals of love. Anyone can participate in this meme, happening all day each Monday. It really can be any quote from any book, no matter the genre or when you read it. So get creative and share something fun!

It would be wonderful seeing you there!

Great! I love this one too! I've just signed up.

World Book Night meme

It's World Book Night on 5th March 2011 in the UK and Ireland. One million copies of 25 books will be distributed by 20,000 successful applicants who will each be given 48 copies of the same book to distribute to friends, family, acquaintences and strangers.

I have posted a list of the books and asked the following (people can answer all or one of the questions):

How many of the World Book Night books have you read?
Which book would you like from that list?
If you had to choose one book from that list to give to 48 people, which would it be?
If you had to compile a list of 25 books to be given away on World Book Night, which books would you choose?

There's plenty of time to pass it on before 5th March. I wrote the meme when the list was announced.

Thanks

Helen

The idea/rules:

  • Think of a song that has inspired you
  • Choose two sentences from the lyrics.
  • Explain what they mean to you
  • Post a link to the song
  • Post the Button below and enter the Linkylist.
  • Be nice and visit other people on the list!

I'd love for some of you guys to hop over here!!

Let me know what you think!!!

"Through the Pages" Thursday:

Its purpose is to go beyond reading a book just to check it off a list & build up your number of reads. There is so much to learn from books - background behind its creation, history involved within the story itself (whether true history or mythical), the thoughts & impressions a certain passage may leave us with if we take the time to ponder instead of rush through. The subject matter for "Through the Pages" can be expansive if you just stop to think & let your creativity flow.

Love this idea, Liz! This is actually how I used to do most of my posts on my original book blog - I'd read a cbook or a part of a book and then somehow tie that into a post about anything it inspired me, made me think about, real , ficitional, personal, historical, etc. I'm going to go check out your previous Thursday posts now but I hope to join you soon on my blog: http:lipglossandliterature.blospot.com

Thanks for the great Meme idea!!
