...who would it be?

The one author I would totally recommend would be Jeaniene Frost. She's the author of the Night Huntress series - Halfway to the Grave and One Foot in the Grave. Her third novel, At Grave's End will be coming out in December, but we're all hoping it'll be out sooner.

I can not just pick one. I have a couple that I really love. J.R. Ward, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Kresley Cole, Larissa Ione, and Karen Marie Moning are just a few that I can't live with out.

I just read a book I really enjoyed called The Strangely Beautiful Tales of Miss Percy Parker by Leanna Rene Hieber. It's this author's first book and I was very impressed. It's a romantic historical novel set in Victorian England. I highly recommend it.

Absolutely loved 'The Rover' by Mel Odom... Kind of a cross between Tolkien and Brooks... Can't read to read more.
John Twelve Hawks 'The Traveler was a wild read...

Kristen Britain's Green Rider and First Rider's Call scream for the next book...

The collaboration between Molly Cochran and Warren Murphy with the read The Broken Sword was absolutely a not to miss ride of your life. A cross of history with a pack of fantasy. Not one to miss.

Right up there with Diana Gabaldon is Mandy Scott with her Bodica Series... Keepers those are!

And of course, I also love a quite few others authors....
Robert Jordon, Terry Goodkind, Maggie Furey, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Mercedes Lacky, Geory R, Martin, Kim Harrison, Dean Kootnz, Barbara Erskine, Neil Griman, Melanie Rawn, David Gremmel, Alex Archer...

And many, many more.... Way to many to do today....

Have an AWESOME Reading Weekend Everyone!!!

Oh man, this is tough! I love so many authors, but one that I think I could recommend to just about anyone would definitely be Jacquelyn Frank, Karen Marie Moning or Kresley Cole, because each of them has more than one series and although I love their PNR installments the best, it's nice that there are different options out there.

Other authors I enjoy: Lynn Viehl (SO EXCITED for her news series!), J.R. Ward (ditto!), Sherrilyn Kenyon, Gena Showalter, Christine Feehan, Jeaniene Frost, Nalini Singh, and tons of others.

I love a lot of fantasy authors, but one author I've recently discovered (through this ning btw) is Wendy Gillissen. Her book 'the curse of the tahiera' is really original and fascinating.

Most authors I only really like one book or series by, so I'd have to go with Carol Berg. She's the only author I've found who has several series where each series is consistently good. (By which I mean they don't become repetitive and stale after a while.)

I also really like Joe Abercrombie, Sergei Lukyanenko, Violette Malan, Maria Snyder and many many others.

Ilona Andrew's Kate Daniel series. It is a series that has dark urban fantasy, humor, hope and even a touch of romance with a unique magic system and each book has improved which is rare to find. I find myself impatient for each installment and enjoy not only the main leads, but the supporting characters to and the books are never predictable for me.

There are MANY paranormal romance authors that I would recommend, but if I had to pick ONLY one....I would go with Kresley Cole.

My suggestion would be Juliet Marillier . . . The Sevenwaters Saga, Cybele's Secret, Wildwood Dancing, Wolfskin, The Bridei Chronicles, Heartsblood.

She is wonderfully adept at fairytale in fantasy.

I would usually pick authors such as George R.R. Martin or Steven Erikson, but recently I read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke and I'm gonna have to go with her. Brilliant stuff! It's pretty much a history of magic as if it were actually in existence and two magicians (noted in the title) bring it back to England in the 1800s. (That was my way of mentioning three authors when I'm only supposed to go with one) :)

I can't pick just one, Christine Feehan and Larissa Ione! I've enjoyed Christine's writing for years. Larissa Ione I only recently discovered months ago, and her work is awesome.
