Hi everyone,

I'm new here and recently finished my book, Enchanted, and uploaded it to the Nook and Kindle.  I'm looking for anyone interested in reading it...Now be forewarned, there are issues with the format.  I have never done this before and found it difficult and confusing to say the least.  With the Nook I did use Sigil, and while it looked fine on that program, it did not come out looking that great on the Nook.  It has some issues with indentations and the cover picture.  The Kindle is still processing for sale I believe, but it also appeared to have some indenting issues as well as a couple of blank pages in the very beginning even though I do not see any blank pages in my document!  So...if you can get past these problems and just concentrate on the story, I'd love anyone to read it...or if you have any advice on how to fix these errors I'm open to that...However, I'm not the most computer savvy so it would have to be simple and easy advice!  :)

Here's a synopsis:

Mandy is a quiet teenager who just wants to blend in with the crowd rather than stand out as anything or anybody.  Mandy's pretty successful at this until her parents decide it's time to move from Boston to the quiet seaside town of York Beach, Maine,  to "be closer to Nana".  Although Mandy has been vacationing in York every summer since she was a child, she has no desire to live there and is worried about fitting in and finding friends during her senior year of high school.

Nana owns a flower shop in town and while working alongside her, Mandy makes a few friends and observes the oddities of the little town and its inhabitants.  When she finds some old correspondance hidden inside an antique trunk handed down from her Nana, the "oddities" turn into full fledged mysteries.  As she unravels the forgotten and hidden history of the town, she simultaneously unravels her own family's past and current secrets while writing her future.  With bits of romance and paranormal along the way, she is able to figure out the puzzle of the correspondance, the magic she never realized was surrounding her, and visions of the past and future.  Will she walk away from her personal history and her future or will she realize it's ok to be somebody, even if that somebody is nothing like everybody else?

Also just started a blog for my book, you can find it here:
There's an excerpt from chapter 1 posted if anyone would like to read it!
Thanks and hope to get some reviews, opinions, etc!  :)

Hi,

I've been on vacation the last week which is why it took me so long to get back to you.  I would love if you'd read my book...however I did click on your site and saw the "Goodbye Everyone" post...tried to watch the video, but for some reason I could not hear what you were saying even though my speakers were all the way up...maybe it's a problem on my side...so I'm not sure if you were saying goodbye to your blog, but if you are still accetping books for review, let me know...I'm trying hard to promote my book and would love a review/opinion!

Thanks,

Rachel

I'll trade off with you as I do a few other authors if you have time. I'll give you an e-copy of one of my novels for one of yours and we can do a review for each other; post them all over the net, amazon, B&N etc.

my name is Kevin E Lake

my books are:

"From the Graves of Babes"

"Serial Street"

"A Demon's Dozen"

You can look them up on Amazon and read the synopsis to see which one you'd be interested in if you want to do this.

thanks and best of luck to you in your writing career.

Hi Kevin,

This sounds like a great idea, however I'm working on the sequel to my first book at the moment and I have just about no free time.  I would like to take you up on the offer in the future though.  I'm hoping to finish up the sequel in the next month, give or take, so maybe after that we could trade?  Let me know...my email is rwells179@gmail.com if you wanted to send me a message... :)

Good luck with your books!

Rachel
