Hello everyone,
My recent novella is now out on Amazon kindle, smashwords, and soon to be in lulu and creatspace. Okay, now to the main discussion.
In order to help each writer promote his or her books, I've devised a method which is commonly used on kindleboards.com. Here's how it works.
Every writer should write down the following:
Title: Lucas Taylor: the time traveller
Tags: romance, young adult, sci-fi, time travelling, kindle author, novella
url:http://www.amazon.com/Lucas-Taylor-time-traveller-ebook/dp/B004KZOR...
Pledge:
Each author should endeavour to tag every author who replies to this thread. That way, everyone wins.

I started a similar thread on Mobileread and I am also a member of the Kindleboards thread. The advantage to having the tags is that readers can find you much easier if they are searching for a specific genre. I have found it to be helpful in getting traffic from targeted groups. Whether that will translate into sales in another question, but for me, it has helped.
These are my links, and I'll be happy to tag you all back.
