Hello Everyone, I just wanted to share some exciting news of finally having "Desperate Lands" available on ebook for readers!

Its been an exciting journey in just trying to format the ebook into its correct Digital Text Format and finally going "Live" on the worldwide Amazon Kindle Store. Thanks to some of the folks on the Amazon DTP-Support Group & DTP-Forum, I was able to create the ebook.

Desperate Lands is "Now" available to readers with different reading (Digital Devices). If you don't have a Kindel device you can still down load the ebook to your (Personal Computer) and later on transfer over your ebook to the Kindel or any other digital device.

Please take a moment to view a sample of Desperate Lands on Amazon Kindle Store:

On another note has anyone checked into the Barnes & Noble Publishing requirments for ebooks on their online Pubit? I have heard of different comments from other authors and Publishers on weak sales with the store in comparison to other online stores! Has anyone heard of this before?

I also look forward to reading and sharing new books this season with other readers & authors.

Thank You,

Reggie

Reggie,

I've had "Discovering Your Amazing Marriage" on Amazon's Kindle for a month now, and have had all of 3 sales...3 of my friends. I've been completely disappointed in the Kindle sales. I'm not sure if I can be doing other things to promote it...but no-one outside of my circle of friends has purchased / downloaded my e-book, so I'm not sure of the marketing side of Kindle.

As for PubIt!, I uploaded 3-4 days ago and have made my first sale today. I'm pretty certain this was to a "non-friend" as I've told no-one but my wife that we are now on PubIt!. They pay a 65% vs. a 70% royalty, but you really have to dig thru their fine print to even find that figure. The requirements are pretty much the same as Amazon's Kindle. I was a little disappointed with the process; they had "technical difficulties" twice during my upload process and my book photo didn't appear properly. I signed back on 2 days later (yesterday) and uploaded the photo again, and when I checked it today, the photo is just fine.

I've been following several e-book pricing links here on Book Blogs. I first priced my Kindle version at 9.99, but then realized Amazon is pricing my 14.95 book at 11.66, so I didn't think there was enough distance between the paperback and the e-book. I re-priced it at 6.99, but that made NO DIFFERENCE. I'm not sure if this is a smart move or not, but I listed it on PubIt! for 4.99, to see if there's a difference. I've made one sale in the first few days...so...maybe there's something to the "under $5 price" that most people on this site swear by.

If you have a moment, check it out.

Best of luck to you!

Hi Jason, Congrats on you book release and I'm looking forward to reading your book too! Thank you for sharing your experience with both Amazon & Pubit. I've been with Amazon for over two years now and they seem to be marketing and selling my book as always! Now that I finally entered "Desperate Lands on their Kindel Edtion things are even better for me. I've been very happy with Amazon as a Book distribution organization, especially being an Independent writer.

I'm getting ready to enter my ebook with Barnes & Noble Pubit very soon. I've been trying to check out their tech support system on Pubit and other formating requirements. So far checking out their Preview Nook system on Pubit is interesting. Did have some issues on Pubit not accepting photos on HTML.doc and unable to submit zip.files into their pubit Nook system. My choices are either submit using epub or word.doc into their pubit system. Therefore I've been playing around with Barnes & Noble Pubit Forum for support on this issue and not very good support at all. Other authors-publishers share the same issues with pubit.

As far as your pricing on your book, I feel the price you place on your books is all the hard work you put into it. Readers will pay the price if they want it and the story is good.

I checked out your book website and I really like the way you set it up and looks great, Thanks for sharing!

I wish you the best of luck on your book, and I look forward to talking to you again soon.

Reggie

Congratulations! (I don't even know if I've had any sales of Refracted on Kindle, but I should find out soon.)
Hi Sheila, Congrats on your New Release Refracted!

Looking forward to reading "Refracted' sounds like a crazy story. My kind of story/movie.

Your book will do great on Amazon Kindel.

I'm checking out your website blogs very interesting. I like it.

Drop me a message on my "Wall" when you get a chance!

Wishing you the very best! Happy Holidays.

Reggie
