Biography:
Ben English is an American thriller writer. His wife, Gilen, was born in the Philippines, and they currently live in the Orlando, Florida area. His first novel, Jack Be Nimble: Gargoyle, was based on a short story entered in a writing contest while he was an undergraduate student. He was first published in Merlyn’s Pen at age 14.

icans Jack Flynn and Mercedes Adams, who possess either hyperthymesia or eidetic / extraordinary memory. The series is set predominantly in Paris, London, San Francisco, Havana, and the fictional town of Forge, Idaho.
Early life
English was born in Eugene, Oregon, and his parents moved him at an early age to Orofino, Idaho when he was six years old to support his father’s career as a civil servant in the forestry and timber industry. English attended Brigham Young University, where he studied international relations, English, and broadcast journalism. He also holds an MBA with an emphasis in Global Management.
An advocate of education, literacy, and helping children fulfill their potential, English provides pro bono strategic and marketing services to Read It LOUD!, a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about the profound positive impact that parents have when they read aloud to their children, their success in school and in life.
Some of English’s early influences include Louis L' Amour, Alexander Dumas, Dean Koontz, Jose Rizal, and Edmond Rostand.
