Hello! I'm Skyler West, and I live in Scotland. I love to read books. I have a stack of to-be-read books by my bed and an equally large pile on my Kindle. My favourite genres are thrillers, love stories, fantasy, and sci-fi, although I'll read pretty much anything if it hooks me in the first few pages. 

I've been writing since a young age. The idea of having a book you've written be read by thousands of people has always thrilled me. I started a couple of novels, but it was only after university (I'm a graduate with Honours in Psychology) that I really got my chops into the craft of writing. I spent almost two years studying the craft and how to write a compelling story, experimenting here and there whenever I had the time. And then this year, I sat down to write the book which has become my debut novel.

The book is a thriller titled They Won't Be Missed.

It is live on Amazon UK, Amazon US and Smashwords, and the reviews have been great.

Here is the novel's synopsis

The homeless are restless. One by one, they’re going missing.

For years, Mark Casey lived on the streets. But those days are behind him. He's holding down a job and getting his life back on track.

But when a homeless man reaches out for help, it kick starts a chain of events that could see Mark lose everything, including his young daughter.

Until now, no one noticed the homeless were missing. But for Mark, the cards are stacked against him. He’s getting too close. They’re watching him. He’s wanted for crimes he didn’t commit. And soon he realises what is happening is on a far larger scale than he could ever imagine.

A plot of unspeakable evil is occurring in the city, and Mark, whose choices are limited, risks becoming one of the missing to find out …
