Hello and good morning. Forgive me for bothering you. As an avid reader I wanted to touch base with authors especially new authors. My name is Maria Gagliano and I am a mommy blogger who has been doing book reviews for over 5 years. I love reading and letting my readers know of new books. Last year I started a Social Media Support company called Buzz Chic and have been doing well. My clients are business owners, service providers and products but very recently I decided to specialize in the arts mainly, photographers, authors and bands. The company was started to help new businesses and small businesses so the prices are very low. Adverting space is also available as well as cross promotion across my current clients.

Please mention you heard of my on Book Blogs for special pricing.

A button with a link to a website usually only runs $5.00 a week with a yearly cost of $260.00, however, for anyone coming to me from Book Blogs, I am only charging $2.00 a week which comes out to $104.00 a year or $0.14 a day payable through PayPal.

If you want to hear more, please feel free to check out my website www.buzzchic.net  and my blog www.reesspace.blogspot.com or contact me at mgagliano@buzzchic.net

Have a wonderful day.

Great thanks for the opportunity :0)

When the young, beautiful Elizabeth Wade goes to live and work in an isolated, rural North Yorkshire village as their school teacher, little did she know that she was to be accused of witchcraft and become the focus of suspicion, sexual desire and revenge, when a series of unexplained and terrible events befall the community.

It’s the early 1950s and the people of Bridgeford are still steeped in superstition and fear of evil goings on in their midst. It is no surprise therefore that they turn on Elizabeth, a vulnerable and defenceless woman…or so she appeared to be.

Robert, That was some really good poetic prose in the excerpt. You did the right thing by including the excerpt. Gives a taste. And most will want more.

I got the chance to work some with PTSD vets in prison. The counselling experience showed me how vested we are in a world view, and how problematic it is when the mind sees vivid images and other senstations which don't fit the picture at all. The kind of processing which would occur in the writing of your book, not only helps show the 2-dimensionality of our mental pictures of life (which simply can't stand up to your war experiences) and inspire us to integrate with other, deeper, parts of self. Could the PTSD sufferer  end up more spiritual as a result of the trauma, if he or she can face, work through, the haunting images and somehow take the mask off of the monster, and tap into the eye of the hurricane?  I had at least one PTSD client who believed that, although he never achieved it during the limited time I had the honor of talking with him. But I did see his eyes show relief (possibly a sign of sparkle) when I asked him that question. The response suggested that deep in his soul, he had real possibility of transcending the nightmarish reactions. And it was also very evident that it would be anything but easy to get that deep. I was "taught" by this sort of object lesson that it might be possible for any of us to "float to the bottom" and to become more spiritual beings. The horrible negative hinted to a positive possibility of transcendance.

And yet this is someone who has only been exposed to fleeting trama events (graphic auto accidents - two in my lifetime so far). Probably big diff from someone who, at an impressionable age (during transition into adulthood) is exposed to relentless forms of psychological trauma. An analogy might be loud sound. A moderately loud sound that goes on hour after hour is worse on your ears than a very loud sound that is gone in seconds or minutes.

I applaud the courage you have to face and work through the nightmarish experience, and to find something instructive from it. And I applaud your willingness to share it with others, like myself, who might be inspired to plunge into the depths of humanity again.

I leave with this poem that I wrote a few years ago.

The Wonders of God

The luminous leaves

of a woods impregnated

by morning sunlight

illuminate the person

in prayerful repose.

Such beauty aches

to find poetic words,

but rests forever in wonder,

a reprieve from the ordinary,

a ruse to reality.

The size of the Grand Canyon

when it fills a receptive mind

is incalculable, marks a chasm of consciousness,

remains a wonder in the world of the observer

whose eyes are constantly blurred by experiences.

It is the same irreconcilable sense

as the news of a toddler crushed to death

by his parent’s SUV backing up,

bump. Experience swells.

One wonders why such realities are.

The awe and the awful impregnate,

leaving the canyon unmeasured.

Leaves glow in the woods.

The poet submits his words to God.

Greetings!

Thanks for the opportunity! "EVERYTHING HAPPENED IN VIETNAM: THE YEAR OF THE RAT", self published under my own Blue Moon Publishing, is an auto-biographical memoir written from the perspective of myself as a 19-year-old Marine in 1969 Vietnam. It is a True Story.

This story is about very young Marines that found themselves in a world like nothing they ever knew or experienced before and the bonds and love for each other we took home with us. Some of my most passionate readers have been females. This is not just a "guy's book". Yet it has deeply touched fellow veteran readers that have responded to me. But you be the judge. Just sample it and see what you think. Reviews are available on the Amazon and more are sure welcome - I don't pay for them. They should be earned. "It's a full ride".

At first glance of the title, you might think this story is old news. You are in for a surprise! It is timeless and has never been told like this. Also, as opposed to vampires and werewolves etc, this story is all TRUE and you might still find yourself biting a finger nail. I just recently released my Kindle edition and it has been very well received. This is not about money for me, it is that I believe this story deserves to be read. Although a work of non-fiction, I wrote it more like a Novel and I can guarantee that you will not be bored. Give it a looksie! (Amazon's Look Inside). Also, even if you only want to go with Kindle, you should just take a look at the back cover picture of the print edition (yours truly) and see how truly young we were. They don't show back covers in Kindle.

I apologize if this post is too long but still I thought I should include an excerpt. Thanks for your patience:

From the chapter titled "THE LISTENING POST":

"'And after all the dark hours and all the dark sounds and long after our physical bodies had seemed to not even exist, having succumbed to the dominant primeval power of the utterly seductive nocturnal environment around us and had dispersed into the soupy and quivering atmosphere like bodiless particles of sensory energy, my ears, which seemed to have expanded to proportions that would make even the largest of bull elephants proud to possess, picked up a tiny sound. A tiny sound that roared its way back into my breathless consciousness like a zillion volts of heart-stopping electricity. As if a frigid hand had been thrust into my sweating ant covered chest and had coldly and heartlessly crushed the mortal muscle which had been beating only a moment before:
"Clink...."
That's all it was. But with that one little sound every part of my extended being came rushing back to its center with the force and the gravity of a cosmic black hole. It was the sound of something metal. And it was not far away. About ten to twenty meters directly forward of our position. And it could only be one thing. Human. There it was again. Another clink. And then another and the sound of the bush being moved and then footsteps softly breaking through the underbrush.
They had to be coming directly toward our position! Of all the area to the left and to the right of us, they just had to be coming right smack dab, straight as an arrow, directly toward our exact location. Almost as if they too had smelled the blood. Or like they knew we were there."'

Ash: Return of the Beast is a supernatural/occult crime thriller, a work of fiction based on a little known factoid about the death of Aleister Crowley (1875-1947), the notorious occultist the British press once called "The Wickedest Man In The World". Crowley’s body was cremated but the whereabouts of his funerary ashes has remained a mystery… until now.

This diabolical tale propels the reader through a series of curiously interconnected (and sometimes unsettling) events spanning the years from 1947(and the death of Aleister Crowley) to the 1990s and the coming-of-age (and eventual stardom) of a "death-metal" rocker named Rodney Duckworth.

The time-line shifts to the present day where Brian Kane, a gruff and gritty, street-worn Seattle Police Detective, reluctantly teams up with the mysterious Rowena Ravenwood, an attractive female FBI agent. Their task is to figure out why good, healthy, God-fearing preachers in their fair city are suddenly dropping dead.

What is the meaning of the strange symbols branded onto the bodies of these hapless victims? Are they all part of some bizarre cult? No eyewitnesses. No fingerprints. Is it really murder? Where’s the evidence? And what is the disturbing secret that Detective Kane is holding so close to his chest?

The investigation catapults Kane and Ravenwood headlong into life-threatening situations as they wind their way through the strange, dark labyrinth of the world of the occult and find themselves battling for their lives against the powerful forces of ritual magick.

Problem is, the clues to help solve the case are in terribly short supply. Worse yet, so is the amount of time left to stop the mysterious killer's reign of terror before all Hell breaks loose. And – according to Special Agent Ravenwood – that’s not just a figure of speech.

REVIEWS:

"Fillied with magick... at times drawing one into the evil." - Ellen In Atlanta, amazon.com reviewer

Gather Sticks Along the Way: A Novel

DON'T PULL MY UNDERPANTS DOWN!  But please do participate in "debriefing"  me about my blog talk radio interview with Sharon Ann Wikoff. Here is the link to the show: Creating Conscious Consensus with Darr... . In case the link isn't "live," here's the URL : http://www.blogtalkradio.com/voiceofchange/2012/02/03/creating-cons...

Listen when you get the chance, then critique the strengths and weaknesses of my very first book interview. It's obvious that I am anything but a smooth talker or gifted orator, but I hope some potent ideas and heartfelt expressions occured during my talk on "spiritual consensus" or "creating conscious consensus."  The interview also gave me a venue to plug my book, Allsville Emerging: Creating and Experiencing a New Culture Together (www.allsvilleemerging.com  , http://sbpra.com/DarrellMoneyhon ).

Debrief me! (but please be kind!)

    Darrell
