The Reason:

I wanted to create a support system for those that think they have no voice. I am currently writing a book titled "Safe Under the Willow". The main character, Jillian comes from an abusive childhood. You will learn about her journey, showing all sorts of feelings and emotions. It will provide one woman's outlook and how she dealt with the "Hell" of her childhood.

This page is intended for women or children in/was in abusive situations. This is a place that they can share their story with NO judgment and everything will be in strict confidence. Everything will be anonymous. A place for the battered to have a voice! Please see www.safeunderthewillow.blogspot.com for more info. If you or know someone who wants to have a voice on bookblog.com or blogspot.com I will certainly love to be your support!

You may email me your story if you like or even post on either site. My email is: safeunderthewillow@gmail.com

*Please note, I am not a therapist! I am a writer who simply "feels" the character I am writing about. "Jillian" makes me want to help others; this is my way of HELPING.

I posted the opening to my book, "Safe Under the Willow". Begins with Chapter 1. It is a flashback "Jillian" has. I hope to gain some interest! More to come in the near future! http://safeunderthewillow.blogspot.com/2011/05/chapter-1-opening.html

Shannon, I think this is a great thing to do.  Giving a voice in your writing to women and children who have been abused can go a long ways towards healing.
