What happens when an angel is born without wings? Would she "get rejected from where she belongs and accepted where she doesn’t?" Strange illustrations from Atanu Roy and quick-witted narrative by Paro Anand's Wing Less: A Fairly Weird Fairy Tale. For our Bimonthly theme of "Fractured Fairy Tales" in GatheringBooks.

My fascination with children's books has much to do with the retelling of beloved tales. Here is Lauren Child's version of The Princess and the Pea as captured by P.... Amazing artwork, storyline bursting with wit. And yes, Manners is everything. For GatheringBooks' Bimonthly theme this July and August: Fractured Fairy Tale. Check it out.
