A little more specialized, of course... but a great place to be active, especially if you're looking to connect with artists who might be able to supply your cover art / website art needs...

I completely forgot about DeviantArt. Thank you for reminding me about this site. I used it years ago, when I was getting into 3d graphics design. It is a great place.

Just another little plug for DeviantArt. I posted an excerpt from my novel there some months back. It was selected for a Daily Deviation (staff pick for front-page feature) and got almost 6,000 views in a day. DA is free, so why not join?
