Hello, I just wanted to let yall know about my historical fiction, The Life He Never Knew.  It follows a group of Texans as they make their way to and fight in the battle of Shiloh in 1862 Civil War.  Thomas, the main character, is questioning his motivation to fight for his new country after speaking with a beautiful Southern Belle during his travels and learning about the death of his brother at Wilson's Creek.  In the end, there are a few different twists and turns that everyone has seemed to enjoy.  Anyway, if you would like to see more about it, please visit my website at www.ryan-petty.com.

Win a paperback or ebook copy of 'Black Purse'. Now in all NC's State capital libraries. This Southern Romantic Suspense is reviewed as an 'Alfred Hicthcock' - never see it coming. Reviewed as not romantic enough and as too romantic like it was written especially for Goldilocks. Just right for chilly nights. http://www.mydevotionalthoughts.com/2011/10/thoughtful-thursday-black-purse-by.html  Contest hosted by My Devotional Thoughts

I love the homespun humor and love of cooking in southern writing! Just posted a blog interview with a wonderful southern writer and raconteur, Clyde Edgerton. His books have been made into movies and plays. Hope you'll drop by for a quick read at http://TheWriteChris.blogspot.com.
