Steampunk Genre Remix

Hey, guys. I just finished reading Caitlin Kitteredge's The Iron Thorn, which is a steampunk-paranormal mix.

There was a blog post about steampunk remixes, you know- mixing steampunk with paranormal or other genres. What would your take on this be? And if you like remixes, what genre would you mix steampunk with? My personal favorite is mixing steampunk and the modern world urban fantasy
