Hi, I am really just now getting into Steampunk and I don't really know a lot of authors. I have read two of Gail Carriger's books Soulless and Changeless (I have Blameless just need to read it) I like them. I have read Cassandra Claire's Clockwork Angel, but not her other series (yet)
Other than that I really don't know a many authors and I know there are probably a lot of cool books I am missing out on. I would love to do a steampunk week, or month on my blog but I need authors..lol.
So who are some of your favorite authors in the steampunk genre?

Cheers!

She is an amazing person, and extremely creative--I can't wait to check it out!
I write Steampunk Erotica for Decadent Publishing, if you enjoy reading erotica as well, then check out 'Mile High Airship Club' and the soon to be released 'Mile Below Peep Show'.
Cheers!

Recommend Mark Hodder's work if you want something set in London. Kim Newman's "Anno Dracula" also has some Steampunk elements and is a great take on the Dracula story. (Really need to get the others in that series to see how they fair.) Also really enjoyed George Mann's "Newbury & Hobbes" series.

The most recent and one of my favorites is Wicked As They Come by Delilah S. Devlin. The review is up on my blog - it was fantastic! I also enjoyed Steamed by Katie MacAlister
