I cannot rave about this book enough.
The best book I have read in a long time.
I have told this book to anyone who will listen (or believes).
I have different beliefs than some. I believe in Spirits and signs and the after life. I believe that we all plan our lives to go the way they do even though we don’t remember planning them. I believe we have had past lives. I believe we are here or there to serve a greater purpose even though we may not be fully aware of that right now.
This book went along the lines of everything I believe in.
My heart felt so at peace reading this book. I felt light. I felt happy. I truly enjoyed this book and promise I will be reading it over and over again.
My favorite part of the entire book though was the explanation on why individuals are developmentally disabled. It was the most amazing reason I have ever heard and whether someone else believes it is true or not – I believe. I would love to share it with everyone, but I would hate to ruin the goodness of the book and spill the secret. You must read it!
I promise, if you have an open mind or you believe like I do, you will truly enjoy this book over and over again. I finished the book and I could still feel the positive energy that book left within me abuzz. No doubt, the best book I have read. Ever.

Chicago wife, mother and finance executive Claire Cummings, arrives at work one morning to discover her friend Julia has embezzled millions and vanished. Blindsided and devastated by the betrayal, she’s sent home pending further investigation. Claire’s bizarre death the following day sends everyone reeling, guessing and looking for her in all the wrong places. In no time she’s addicted to an enchanting menagerie of tricks and techniques for getting the living’s attention, but most people are harder to reach than she’d ever dreamed and even harder to set free. She was still a mother, a wife, a daughter and a friend… she’d move heaven and earth to keep it that way.
Sheri Meshal’s Swallowtail is a haunting story about life, love, loss and just how far we’ll go to control it all. This debut from a thought-provoking new voice in fiction begs the question… what would you do if all the rules changed, and you were suddenly bestowed powers beyond your greatest imagination?

An excellent book to read if you are looking for a positive way to enhance and enrich your life.
The author makes a clear point that as a spiritual being, that God exists and lives within each and every one of us. To find him all we have to do is take time out and look deeply into our souls to find him.
The emphasis is on the reader to follow each of the letters (chapters) and digest the direction and examples that the author uses to help us move forward to improve our lives.
The teachings follow a path of cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) stating that every one of us are in control of our own destiny and journey through our existence. By looking hard at how we portray our emotions and signals we emit can vastly enhance our being. Negative thoughts and negative energy create a downward spiral where as positive thoughts and energy do the opposite. Also the way forward is not to dwell on the past because we cannot change it but look forward to the future.
The author uses very clever and clear explanations and examples to get his message across. The use of breaking down the steps to reach fulfillment in letters and then expanding on each one is first class.
This book needs to be read slowly and in a quiet room to fully appreciate it. You might what to read some parts twice to digest the teachings which will help you live and build a better future for yourself and once you have achieved that goal the knock on effect to your loved ones and close friends will be immense.
This book will be kept close to me and when I am having a period of doubt or feel that I have lost my way, I will pick it up and read the letter that is most appropriate to that situation and follow the guidance it recommends.

When his son is killed Buck Withers is insistent on finding his killer which brings him in contact with the Iris cooperation in Japan, whose leader is looking for revenge on the USA for past demeanours on his ancestors.
This novel is first rate based around the world of disposing toxic waste which could make millions.
The Americans have built a research facility in which the Japanese have planted a spy and whoever can find the solution first will be the world leaders.
The excitement and tension the author creates is excellent. The characters are vividly described and you feel as if you are sharing their emotions and you are part of their team.
The author also starts you thinking about just how close are the major powers are to finding a solution to the disposal of toxic waste and due to the sensitivity of the subject, where are they dumping at the present time.
The writer cleverly entwines not only the conflict between the leader of the Iris cooperation and his hatred of the USA, but also the past history of Buck Withers and the Iris cooperation leaders dating back to World War 2.
I really enjoyed this novel which is the second one that I have read by this author. The authors years of travel and knowledge of local traditions shines through and adds extra spice to the storyline. Anyone who likes a fast paced story with twists and turns with an international flavour will absolutely love this book.

A psychological thriller which you will find hard to put down and will want to read from cover to cover.
When Kara is abducted her life is turned upside down when she realises who her kidnapper is and what secrets he holds about them both. Not only is Kara's life affected but also her mothers. In the search for Kara her mother has to turn to the police for help before even consulting her husband, which endangers their marriage.
The atmosphere that the author creates is first class as Kara discovers more about her past you feel her emotion. The tension and fears that the next of kin feel is exceptional in the search to find where Kara is and who has taken her. This story will keep you on the edge of your seat and makes you believe you are there watching and noting everything that is going on, bringing the book to life. This story will make you ask questions about any gaps or things you cannot remember in your own past.
An extraordinary theme to a book where the kidnapped victim finds out things about herself which in her deep conscious she already knew. Whilst on the other side her mother has to reveal the truth which she thought she would neverhave to, not knowinghow much will this damage them now and in the future.
Expertly written and a real page turner which keeps the reader enrapt and I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good psychological thriller.

Our Book Review
Following on from Rise to the Call, Cris de Niro and his watchman agency are back, when one of his own men has disappeared, de Niro is worried and has to call in a lot of favours from prominent statesman to achieve his goal. De Niro also receives a call from an old Korean War hero to help protect his granddaughter from the hands of a gang leader .
Again the master story teller has the reader enthralled and involved in the novel . The author knowledge and research is evident thorough out and adds spice to the adventure .
The characters resolve show that through the trial and ordeal, friendship and survival are the most important things in every one lives. The contacts de Niro has to use show when you do someone a favour on it's return it comes back twofold.
In the book the different ideologies that the main protagonists have shine through, but as you make an enemy a friend it shows that respect and tact can win the day.
Another masterpiece from this author. The way the characters are growing is amazing but you also develop your own personnel attachment with each one .
There is more emotion felt in this book as you really find out what a true leader Cris De Niro is and what he feels about all the people who work for him are worth.
This author is now on my reading list along with Lee Child, Peter Robinson and Ian Rankin.
