Are You a Book Blogger Who Lives in Utah? Here's What You Need to Know!

Utah not only has an amazing community of famous authors but it is home to a fantastic book blogging community. To tell you the truth, I’m unaware of other states with such a high density of book bloggers. We have two socials a year, one in the summer (potluck in the park with families) and one in the winter (couples only - dinner out) and often see each other at book signings.

Etiquette is that you usually should purchase a book at the bookstore. Sometimes that is the only way you are guaranteed a place in the signing line, depending upon how popular the author is. You can bring your own books from home but I'd plan on making at least some type of purchase at the store regardless if it's their book or not. That's the only way they can afford to continue to bring in authors.

If you didn't hear already, Gail Carson Levine just announced she'll be at The King's English on Tue June 29!!!!!!!
Who wants to go?! I don't know if I'll be able to work up the nerve to go by myself! Also, what's the etiquette? My budget just dropped to 0, but I have a few of her books. Is it bad if I just take them with me to be signed?
