Done. See below

I love to write. Writing is my voice. Its been my outlet through many dark times in my life often when I had no other.

Now, I have lost my joy of writing. I have lost the excitement of sitting down at the computer to paint a picture with my words. Now, I have lost the way my words used to flow so easily through my fingers describing the images I see so clearly in mind. Now what comes out is stilted, awkward, clumsy. In other words, garbage.

I feel the gift of writing that has always been mine slipping beneath an endless sea of "don't"

If I cant write my way, be true to my vision of what i want my story to be, then whats the point? Who am I writing this for? Spoke to an author this weekend who said "The editor's number 1 priority is to make a book marketable" At what cost?

"Be more descriptive" he says to me, "Tell the story in real time, tell it like its happening right now today.Describe what you see, hear, feel, smell, touch. That's what the editors and publishers want"

The disturbing fact is he's not kidding. Even more disturbing is the fact he clearly knows nothing about incest.

LOL great work, J.C!

Too bad nobody else seems to have paid any attention until now, myself included.

Thinking this group may be difficult to maintain if we keep it closed, so I'm opening it up to the masses.

I think this is a really great effort, a lot of feeling and a constraint well used, turned around to be a really freed piece of writing.

Kind ones,

Kit

oopps.. I'm late to see the updates. That's quite complicated. We can't just replace AND with any conjunctions or connectives. But its a nice challenge. I'll see what I can do about it.  **sighs** :)
