More Reviewers Needed

I get many requests for reviews daily. This is great because it gives me a chance to pick out books that sound interesting to me. It also means that I have to turn down several requests a day from authors that may have a really great book. The 3 genres that I normally do not read are: romance, science fiction, and fantasy. I have also been forced to turn down many books in electronic format because I don’t have an e-book reader. As a result, it takes me 3 to 4 times longer to read an e-book as…See More

Rating system for book reviews

I began my blog using a simple 5 star rating system with 5 stars being fantastic and 1 star being a book that I wouldn't even give away. I am now finding that not everything I read and review fits neatly into the 5 star rating scheme, so I am considering modifying my rating system. What kind of rating system do you use for reviews on your site? Is there a "bloggers standard" rating scheme? If not, would it be good to have one? Has anybody thought of this? Thanks for your input. allen…See More
