Profile Information

About Me:
I love books. Until recently, I kept to just reading them, but ideas for characters and scenes took control of my mind and made me have to get those ideas down. I have been writing for about a year and have really enjoyed working out the process of taking my ideas and forming new worlds for others to enjoy.

This whole writing thing is still a hobby for me. I sit down on weeknights and weekends and just float over to my other worlds for a while. Other hobbies of mine include: drawing, baking, arts and crafts, motorcycles, hockey, and archery. I like to think I have eclectic tastes where my hobbies are concerned. I love to laugh and try to make myself smile at least once a day. With the crazy thoughts going on in my head that usually isn't hard.

Hi!

Welcome to Book Blogs! I'm Kate, a young adult author. My second novel, Reaping Me Softly, has just been released by Omnific Publishing.

Ever since a near-death-experience on the operating table, seventeen-year-old Arianne Wilson can see dead people. Just as she’s learned to accept her new-found talents, she discovers that the boy she’s had a crush on since freshman year, Niko Clarke, is a Reaper.

At last they have something in common, but that doesn’t mean life is getting any easier. All while facing merciless bullying from the most powerful girl in school, Arianne’s world is turned upside down after Niko accidentally reaps the soul of someone she loves.  This sends them both into a spiral that threatens to end Arianne’s life. But will Niko break his own Reaper’s code to save her? And what would the consequences be if he did?

Grab your copy now at:

Amazon
Barnes & Noble

Omnific Publishing

I hope you enjoy your stay here! Lots of great people and interesting topics. If there's anything you might need, please don't hesitate to leave a comment on my page.

Sincerely,

Kate

Welcome to Book Blogs! I am an author of middle reader fantasies (Random House) and medical reference books. (It's an odd combination, I know..) My blog, "Publishing ... and Other Forms of Insanity," is for aspiring writers. I provide useful tips on how to get an agent, how to work with an editor, how to promote your work, best online resources for romance, mystery/thriller, children's and YA writers, to name a few. My latest post is an absolutely fabulous, inspirational, and deeply honest speech given by Neil Gaiman, "If you don't know what's impossible, it's easier to do it ..."

http://publishedtodeath.blogspot.com/ and on http://www.ericaverrillo.com/

I write a second blog with useful tips for treating and coping with CFS/ME (aka chronic fatigue syndrome):

http://cfstreatment.blogspot.com/

and on the website: http://www.cfstreatmentguide.com/ (this website also contains lots of useful resources)

WELCOME TO BOOK BLOGS, I have forged many friendships here with bloggers, avid readers and prolific writers.

We cross promote to help each other out and have a great time  in the process.

I am an author who enjoys History and I cross-promote with authors of ALL genres at 4covert2overt A Day in the Spotlight

Authors of ALL genres are invited for a DAY, it is usually a 4 to 6 week wait.

If you are interested on a Spotlight contact me at m_c_v_egan@yahoo.com .

I have another blog where I try to add a bit of history.

I hope we can cross-promote in many ways.

THE BRIDGE OF DEATHS BLOG

If you get a chance please check out Barnes and Noble   or AMAZON  It is a well-documented factual pre-World War II event with a twist of fiction and a touch of the paranormal.
