The second portion of my new novel Cast the First Stone has my character Captain Henry Murdoch sent off to China in the name of the British Empire to the brewing troubles of the Boxer Rebellion during the summer of 1900.

In writing my most recent novel, I found it to be much easier the second time out and in some respects much harder than the first. I always wanted to go back and tell the story of the character Reverend Henry Murdoch from my first book.
