- Too many to name, but I love anything by Amy Tan and Anita Shreve. I also loved "The Book Thief" and "The Poisonwood Bible." I'm sure this list will change. ;)
- About Me:
- I love to read and write, and I started a book blog because I thought it would be fun to write about what I read. I graduated from Suffolk University in 2000 with a BA in English and Sociology, and I currently work as a senior editor and writer for a news bureau. When I'm not pulling my hair out at work or falling asleep with a book in my hands on the train, I'm a wife and the mother of an 8-year-old girl. I'm also writing a novel and a collection of short stories.
I just co-launched a reading challenge blog, War Through the Generations: Reading Challenges with Serena from Savvy Verse & Wit, and our 2009 challenge is WWII.

Dirty Little Angels
Set in the slums of New Orleans, among clusters of crack houses and abandoned buildings, Dirty Little Angels is the story of sixteen year old Hailey Trosclair. When the Trosclair family suffers a string of financial hardships and a miscarriage, Hailey finds herself looking to God to save her family. When her prayers go unanswered, Hailey puts her faith in Moses Watkins, a failed preacher and ex-con. Fascinated by Moses's lopsided view of religion, Hailey, and her brother Cyrus, begin spending time down at an abandoned bank that Moses plans to convert into a drive-through church. Gradually, though, Moses's twisted religious beliefs become increasingly more violent, and Hailey and Cyrus soon find themselves trapped in a world of danger and fear from which there may be no escape.
