- i love books, paper, scribbling, the word ‘scribbling’, tea, coffee, chocolate, grammar, warm socks, and banofee pie. i don’t like queues, tabloids, injustice, ignorance, cold tea, and the fact that Amelie our bookish cat can’t stick up for herself and do karate. i went to school, studied hard, went to university, studied hard enough, got a headhunting job, studied some more, did an MBA, quit my job, dumped the cat at mum and dad’s, went off travelling around the world for eighteen months reading lots and lots of books, writing lots and lots of scribbles, saw some amazing sights, met some amazing people, came up with a business idea, came home again, picked up the cat, blogged a bit and set up bookish with W. and here i am. surrounded by paper and books and pens and tea and chocolate. and my cat. who can’t do karate.
